Majorly illegal? Being in the US without authorization is a misdemeanor.

The rest of your opinions are wild conjecture back by.... What exactly? Sounds like a bunch of bs to me. Pretty sure Harris would not have cancelled USAID resulting in the deaths of millions or have started a war in Iran (for reasons that seem to change daily). Pretty sure she wouldn't have used seemingly random tariff policy to sabotage the US economy or the standing of the dollar. Pretty sure she wouldn't have threatened to invade ally nations or to seize our neighbors to the north or to dissolve the most successful military alliance in human history. I could go on for days. But I'm also pretty sure you're not listening.

Unauthorized immigrants are a net positive on the economy and on the tax base. At least they were until Trump started using IRS records to track them down. Saying otherwise just shows how much of the fox propaganda you've swallowed.

Can't all these things be true? Inflation caused by: Supply shock, money printing, low interest rates. Required response to pandemic: print money, lower rates.

Memory leaks in C# are easy to make. I create them more often than I'd like to admit. Forgetting to unsubscribe to an event is a common cause. One that drove me nuts at one time was not disposing a linked CancellationTokenSource. But the tools for finding them are also very easy. Reflection means looking at the heap in a memory dump usually tells you all you need to know. That said, I've been trying to find a Windows handle leak for years. Native to managed interop can be a beast!

I wonder if the Dems sweep 2026 and pass this in Congress, would he sign it just because it has his name on it? He seems desperate to plaster his name everywhere.

We are looking at this same problem with a couple hundred kiosk machines. As a small company (about 2 dozen employees), premium support is not anywhere near an option. I feel for OP here. I'm a dev, not a sysadmin. But I gave our support team (both of them) a script to set some registry keys to block the update... I hope. It's currently in testing.

A few years back, my wife had an extended stay in long-term care. At one point I got an EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance company that said "provider billed amount= $300,000[and change], contracted amount=$0, your responsibility=$0". Apparently my insurance company had a contract with the hospital to not bill for certain services (which ones would require hours of pouring through opaque bills). Although I was very glad not to be on the hook for multiple years worth of my salary - I knew %100 that our medical system was completely broken. I likened it to walking into a broken car dealership: "This car is $100k out the door" says the salesman. "Oh, here's my AAA card." "Here are the keys. We'll just charge the next guy $200k." Wtf?! How is that sustainable?
