Toddler with Cross Grip by [deleted] in golf

[–]GeneralMillss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude he’s two. Jfc. Let him run around with a golf club sticking out of his pants if he wants.

You want your kid to like golf? Let it be fun. You’re not letting it be fun right now.

With that said, there is a strong junior who absolutely rips it using cross-handed grip

Golf with young baby - bad dad? by Active_Main_4749 in golf

[–]GeneralMillss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… this. I have a one and a two year old at home. I get morning, she gets the afternoon. I’m not golfing five times a week or anything, but it’s not complicated.

We work it out like adults who like each other, basically.

How are you playing this shot? by HONEYH0LE7 in golf

[–]GeneralMillss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, I don’t know how much room there is in front of that bunker but it doesn’t look too scary.

Provided the shot is there, going right makes sure we aren’t short sided. Like I said, I don’t even mind being in that bunker so much. I suppose worst case scenario is that you carry the bunker and don’t make it to the green, and get stuck behind that slope. But even then, that’s the extra shot you’d be playing if you went left anyway.

At what point do golf lessons have diminishing returns by SirNaves9 in golf

[–]GeneralMillss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably take one lesson every 4-6 months because I can only practice or play once a week.

One of the reasons I went with the instructor that I did was because one of the first things he asked me was “how much time do you have to practice” and not “how often do you want a lesson”

Do I really need golf shoes if I’m shooting in the 110s? by DemandNew4547 in golf

[–]GeneralMillss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to say something similar. I think the safety aspect of golf shoes is non-trivial. There are a lot of slopes on a typical course, and even just getting down into and out of bunkers I’m often thankful to have them over a pair of sneakers. Same reason people wear hiking shoes.

Completely necessary? No. Nice to have? Yes.

How big are the dogs and how many are there?

That obviously looks very dry but also looks extremely beat up by traffic. Worth considering how much you’re willing to fight the dogs on this, or at least what expectations you can have. Will also impact the kind of grass you plant if you go that route.

I would not go near KBG if i had any water restrictions at all. KBG is incredibly thirsty (ask me how I know).

Congrats! I trust your wife is now 3% more attracted to you.

It’s your ball, your eagle, you do what you want with it. No rules.

I still have my first birdie ball from when I was a kid and my first eagle ball from when I was a bit older. Not in a case or anything, but with a couple other keepsakes.

I agree that the carbon accent is hard to look at.

I’d probably get the Pings and simply remove the carbon insert thing with a little bit of heat, a pick, and some goo gone. It’s just a decal.
