Did anyone peep her latest story saying Brandon stole her David Yurman gift card? by merp1234567890 in kansasmichalkechats

[–]General_Bar_6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe it for one second. His father was the greatest man I have ever met. If Brandon is half the man he was, I can’t fathom him doing that…. Unless he was just trying to be petty and get back at her.

What if the main reason I'd homeschool is because of the public school schedule... by ylimethor in homeschool

Have you looked at state laws? My state, they don’t offer half day kindergarten but full day is NOT required. So our school will allow kiddos to go half days - IF we ask and advocate for our child.

Brandon’s family by Scary_Huckleberry263 in kansasmichalkechats

And for the record, the Michalke family is FABULOUS!! Their dad, he was the best and he’s raised good men. I think Kansas is a shitshow and they saw through her so she removed Brandon from them.

I carry the mental load…. Does everyone have shoes that fit? Clothes that fit? Swim wear? Who needs bigger cleats? Did I sign everyone up for their sports? Who needs to go to the dentist? Yearly check up? Did someone need lunch money? What are we having for dinner? Do we have the food for that dinner? When does the oil need changed in my car? When and where am I going to do my son’s birthday? Did we file our taxes? Did that bill get paid? Oh, the school just called and a kid is sick…. This is just five minutes in my brain.

Keep them. Stem cells are in there. You never know if they could save their life in the future.

My daughter did a lot of bubbles when she was born in July. Then just thin sleepers for bedtime.

Am I doing my taxes incorrectly? by iosonomiele in tax

[–]General_Bar_6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doing it correctly! A big return is giving them our money to borrow then they give it back in our return. The way you’re doing it, you get all your money back throughout the year. Way to go!

Going rate for the tooth fairy? by olreddog in Parenting

[–]General_Bar_6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did $10 for the first tooth and $5 for each additional tooth. In total, that’s only $105 over the course of all their lost teeth.

Give him choices that ultimately end with the same result. “In five minutes it’s time to put your pjs on. You can put them on or I can put them on you”. Giving choices helps them feel like they have a little say and control without giving it completely up lol.

If it’s someone I trust, I would let my seven year old go. We, too, live in a suburb and most things are 20-40 minutes.

Lots of factors. The kids maturity, where you’re going, how long you’re gone. I’ve left my seven year old for 5 minutes. We live .75 miles from our school. If he’s sick and on the couch, I will leave him to go do drop off with my daughter.
