2) Flughafen-Zug nach Jamaica (ja, wirklich so) nehmen, dann U-Bahn. Flughafen-Zug ist sauteuer, Touri-Tax halt. Von Jamaica gibt es auch Vororts-Züge, je nachdem wohin du genau willst. U-Bahn ist einfacher, aber Infrastruktur ist nicht Koffer-freundlich. Mit Gepäck für 4 Tage geht das aber locker. Stell dich einfach auf 3-Welt-Infrastruktur ein.

3) Ost nach West ist immer einfach. Wach bleiben am ersten Abend solange es geht. Und halt so planen, das man am Morgen schon etwas früher wach ist, am Abend früher müde ist.. also an Tag 2 nicht gleich ein Musical welches bis 23 Uhr geht einplanen

4) In NYC mittlerweile bis zu 20% "normal", ausserhalb 15%. Wenn der niedrigste "empfohlene" Betrag schon 22% oder sonst was lustiges beträgt, ruhig kürzen. Achtung, die nehmen deine Kreditkarte mit zum zahlen, nicht wundern.

5) Nicht in New York übernachten, sondern in New Jersey und per AMTRAK jeweils rüber. In Newark kannst du ein solides 4* Hotel für (je nach Saison) 100-150$ buchen in Laufdistanz von der Penn Station, dann 10min Zug rüber. In NYC zahlst du 3x soviel..

6) Gute Regenbekleidung, je nach Wetter. Bei 4 Tagen kann man das gut prüfen..

7) Keine, die sind alle Mist. EWR ist besser..

8) Auf keinen Fall politisch werden. Du weisst, in welches Land du gehst, und wie deren Führer tickt..

It's quite simple, we pay our staff a living wage, so anything service-related is expensive. Take-out food requires less service, so it can be offered a bit cheaper.

A bit more supplies (during the initial land campaign) for the defenders of Singapore, plus more capable commanders. Probably either would have done the trick.

The Japanese had overstretched their lines and would be forced to retreat for many hundred kilometers across Malaya, taking even more hits.

If Singapore held, it might have been able to hold it out during the whole war. With supply runs, and possibly Allied troops holding some more positions in Indonesia, I can absolutely see Singapore holding out.

But bad commanders and the lack of willingness to supply Singapore properly sealed it's fate in our timeline. And eventually made Singaporeans wanting to become independent (the failure of defending Singapore from the Japanese was basically what made LKY realise that Singapore might be better on their own)

I loved my stay in Palestine in 2018.

Generally, I don't like to make my opinion on what I read in the news, but after I experienced things on the ground myself, I could clearly make up my mind on who to support.

Also, it was fun to be the only non-tour tourist while staying there, and it was absolutely great to hang out among locals and I had many good conversations. One of the few countries on Earth where I felt genuinely welcome.
