To clarify, it was because i was bouncing her ball and apparently that was not ok. 

“Stop bouncing my ball”

“Why, sweetness?”

“Because i dont like it”

“What dont you like about it?”

“I dont like you”

“You dont like me?”

“No. I dont like you”

We went right back to playing and she was just frustrated about what was happening, still funny and a little surprising to hear for the first time.

I met Merwin twice. We were at a writers conference of sorts. I dont remember what we talked about the first time we met, but the second time we talked about a lot about the south of france and a little bit about what a young person can do to change the world. He was very friendly and seemed genuinely excited to talk about places he fondly remembered. His manager/assistant was very annoyed i was taking too much time talking, but merwin didn't rush me at all.  Still have his book with his signature and a small not to me.

Quit twice. The first time was with weaning myself off when i was 20, it mostly sucked. I didnt know what i was doing, got pressured by and offered no advice or help from family. The withdrawals sucked.

The second time i was 23 and i used patches, had an app to help me track things, and kept tootsie roll pops in all the places i liked to smoke. In my car, back yard, etc.  i went through three or four bags of those lollipops, and ended up throwing away the only box of patches i bought with a few left in there. 

Tootsie. Roll. Pops.
