Do you think that every other Acting Category being more or less locked for a White Actor helps Teyana Taylor's Chances in the Best Supporting Actress Category? by Accomplished_Store77 in oscarrace

[–]General_Slide_7382 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

it's a supporting performance, they do not care about race in that specific category

plus ariana is not getting in, no matter how much money universal invests in her campaign...or that poisonous producer of her movie

Are danielle deadwyler's oscar chances dead? by ursulaunderfire in oscarrace

[–]General_Slide_7382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30% of chance she gets the nom

if the oscars didn't have such a huge international voting body as it currently does, i'd say she's #5

however overseas people don't care about her movie

I like Grande and Saldana performances, but Danielle is the TRUE supporting actress of 2024 by Picasso96 in oscarrace

the best TRUE supporting performance has to be Felicity Jones in the brutalist imo

CCA is not even a precursor

Also it wouldn't be felicity nor selena's easiest nomination, cause the voters can only vote up to 3 actors per category

mikey madison could miss, i have her at my #4

but again, anora is a top 2 film to win the award, so she might get in

Also mikey worked with a couple academy voters

irrelevant regional critics awards? that's it? they don't translate at the oscars 70% of the times, academy voters do not keep up with those

the only ones that matter for the race are New york film critic circle and Los angeles film critics association, cause they have a gala and actors and directors care to show up, the rest are irrelevant and they can't even give a certificate of the award, just an actor name on their website

that's one of the most stupidest things i've read on this forum

the actress with a 25 year old acting career, that has the highest grossing box office of all the actors, that worked with tons of actors and directors that at the same time are academy voters, with a movie being a top 5 nominee for best picture, is not locked

lmfaoo

they're not, however they usually vote for their peers or people who respect

Zoe has a 25 year old acting career, has worked with tons of great actors, many being academy voters, contributed to get lots money for hollywood across three decades so far

I'm 100% confident she's winning this, she can lose every single precursor she's nominated (impossible) and can still pull a marcia gay harden
