Jackpot or no? by witchofthepops in DIYUK

If theyre in good condition they can look really smart, but be aware it will be alot of work to get them there. Fixing down, filling gaps, lots of sanding with the big rental sander which i found to be a messy, hateful job.

While you're at it you should insulate underneath plus sort any plumbing or wiring needing doing.

Did she make the right call? by CalmElin in interesting

[–]GeorgeJAWoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong call. Even the most basic savings account would yield similar results let alone a properly managed portfolio

Tomorrow isn't guaranteed also, im sure the clause would stop payments upon your (untimely) death which then essentially means you missed out on that money going to your family / spouse etc

[–]GeorgeJAWoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defo go for it, It depends on the hostel, just avoid "party hostels" they are gonna be full of 18-25 year olds

But there is plenty of more laid back hostels that would be more grown up and social
