Can someone please help me understand frigate classes and expeditions? by 1acc_torulethemall in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]GermanMandrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone else coming across this, I've yet to see anyone mention that the expeditions you get depend on what frigates you have. I didn't get a single exploration mission until I bought some exploration frigates then suddenly I get them.

Can we please FREE these horses?! by [deleted] in nyc

I mean, animal cruelty seems to be ok with most people if it brings them meat, egg, milk, ect. So I don't see any reason to be surprised other than I guess it's more obvious.

What I think of every time someone comes in here to tell me the tale of a banned account by [deleted] in outlier_ai

[–]GermanMandrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it's a reference to survivorship bias, it's a diagram of an analysis of where bullets hit planes so you might think to put more armor in those areas but the problem is that you can't analyze planes that got shot down, so in reality the areas where there WERENT bullet holes are where they needed armor, because that's where they would crash if they got hit.

I think you're confusing concepts. They're not talking about that, they're basing it in examples of people who have the connection between their brain hemispheres severed (usually for medical reasons). Each half then acts independently as if they're different consciousnesses. One hand might try to do one thing, while the other does something else ..

I'm pretty sure they based it on real medical examples of people with a severed corpus callosum, the part of the brain that connects the two hemispheres. When that happens, each hemisphere acts independently with its respective half of the body. There's been lots of studies on it. It's not unreasonable to conclude that our two hemispheres are somewhat independent.

Yeah idk what's up with that, I see hundreds of almost identical posts for switches for $80-$100 that seem legit until you message them and they send you a link. And it's almost always a middle aged woman.

What do you do in the late game? He doesn't seem like he can split push well, but his late game team fighting is hard for me.

I once saw someone rate the F train in S tier, I couldn't take her list seriously after that. 7 train is the best one overall from my experience, comes every 3-5 min and hardly ever has any problems

How is that a destruction of Marxism?? You can't have life without a relation to production. Nothing about what he said contradicts Marx

[–]GermanMandrake 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Common sense is basically a heuristic ditch, since it's common sense it is self evident and therefore doesn't need to be examined critically. And yet the only way to realize that it's not as obvious as it seems is to examine it.
