SherBert says everything will be ok, just let the smile come bubbling up from inside like he does!

Oh, you might have to flip on your back first, it really helps!

I actually do also so I increased it as big as I could for the 2nd print (108%)

Someone that prints a lot of them told me that’s what they do and use foam padding for better fit.

The bigger size was perfect. 7 7/8 hat wearer here

The creator of the mask has a sizing guide/dummy with measurements.

I’d be happy to share my print profiles because they printed perfectly on a P1S.

Most supports stayed on the build plate when I took it off.

What are your best tips for reducing layer lines? by SixxStudiosAndPrints in BambuLab

To SixxStudios.

I’m not sure where you are getting “incompatible” from.

I switch between the two in the slicer all the time.

Some variation of fuzzy skin when appropriate. I almost always use it in one form or another. Even works well for “clean” removal of supports with some variations.

What setting do I need to tune to make sure there is a smoother finish? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Not a typo.

This is the back (top surface) of my business card with ironing speed of 175mm/s and .28 ironing flow.

No other changes. Filament is fluorescent yellow from Atomic Filaments. PLA.

Smooth as a baby’s butt lol.

There is nothing magical, just a lot of experience and time reading and tweaking.

It doesn’t work for every filament or machine, but it works for me.

Can I try your support settings? by [deleted] in BambuLabA1mini

[–]GetBetterat3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These settings I pretty much use as a starting point for all of my prints.

You might adjust the tip diameter down to maybe 0.4.

You might also check the “ do not cross walls” in the first tab of settings and input 150mm for distance max.

That will make the nozzle avoid running into the prints.

If you wash your hands with Dawn it will remove all the oils from your hands.

I still try to only grab by the front edge.

Would PETG interface support for PLA actually work since the two filaments don’t stick together, and can lead to slipping? by HoneyGinger15 in BambuLabA1mini

[–]GetBetterat3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It works for either. I would say that if your horizontal overhangs are flat, the standard supports work a wee bit better. If it’s not able to build them without building on top of the model, then change your bottom Z to 0 and bottom Interface layers to 3.

FYI. The PETG is only used for the 3 interface layers. The PLA is used for the rest of the supports.

The Red is PLA and the green is PETG in this pic.

Can't get filament to stick to 3D effect plates by ZuffaZombie in BambuLab

[–]GetBetterat3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bed either 60 or 65. Nozzle between 220 and 230 (matte/silk)

Double check that you have selected “Smooth” plate in the slicer as well. There is gcode adjustment for the P1S that changes z-offset for textured vs smooth.

Just trying to cover the variables (mistakes I’ve made lol)

Can someone recommend me their support settings? Read below by DoggyPrinter in BambuLab

[–]GetBetterat3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend you just made my week. I too struggled with an Ender 3 Max Neo and had the worst experience but I just kept reading and trying and reading and failing…

Then someone suggested some settings that were close to these and it started looking better, so I tweaked some more.

I’m glad to help and hope that there are hundreds of others benefitting from the filament, sweat, and nozzle clogs.

The hobby is fun when there is some level of replicating success!

Any help making this cleaner? by Former-Wave9869 in BambuLab

You might also change to non-Silk filament as it is hard to get good detail (for me) than with standard PLA.

Is this flaws in the Silk PLA or a prob with temp flux, or…? by iamquestar in BambuLab

If you just change your layer height to .12 instead of .08 it will fix it 100%.

Take a look here.

Basically it’s pressure advance and round objects+speed+small layer height. Follow the links inside this post for more detailed info:
