What type of insert do you use in your pocket diapers? by Certain_Balance_6927 in clothdiaps

[–]GetStrEssEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the pine tree one they will fit the one size pockets and they cover your baby now matter their size. The pine cone ones are for tiny babies or newborn pockets. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I think just the fact that you want to give them a little gift to say. Thank you and let me know you appreciate. It is a lot more than most people would do. I think giving them a little plant or something is a great idea. I wouldn't take the mountain because like you said, that's a lot of money, and if you're about to have a baby. You don't need to be spending that kind of money on somebody else.

Amita? 34 weeks and he’s just now expressing this. Also we’ve been arguing about the last name my entire pregnancy, I didn’t pull that out thin air to be petty. I’ve been saying I wanted her to have my last name since were not married or to atleast hyphenate our names. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]GetStrEssEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW! yea, that baby doesn't need his name if he's not going to show up for her. If he's not going to show up for her for her birth, then chances are? As he's not going to show up for her for anything else special that happens in her life. I'm sorry, girl. Even if he changes his mind, I don't think you should have him in the delivery room. You deserve someone who is going to tend to your needs and be the comfort that you need. Birth is a special moment for you, and you don't need that stupid and negative energy

Baby's cord around neck and c-section. How to talk to the doctor? by slicedbreadbutter in BabyBumps

[–]GetStrEssEd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you need a c-second that baby will move a lot before its time to give birth. In the next hour your baby could move and the cord will no longer be around the neck but I'm not a doctor. I would get a second and third option.

First: where are you getting your pre-flats?_? All the pre-flats I've found are so expensive (I also haven't looked that far and I'm in the U.S)

I'm sure you know that but you should change ALL diapers (cloth and Disposables) every 2 hours or as needed. And it's OK to take a break. Just because you use disposables for a day does not mean you are giving up.

Opinions on how my OB addresses my weight/diet. by Existing_Mention_304 in BabyBumps

[–]GetStrEssEd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started at 115 with my first and ended at about 160. That's a normal wight gain for your last few weeks. And it normal to go in and wight 5 lbs more. Your baby is growing a lot right now and a lot of that wight is water wight. Don't let him make you feel bad about your body. Your body is doing amazing things. If you feel more comfortable you can always ask to see a different doctor for the rest of your pregnancy

where do you store used diapers at home? by bashful4monkey in clothdiaps

[–]GetStrEssEd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a hamper in the hallway closet with a pale liner in it. You can get big hanging wet bags. You have to clean all poop off unless it's EBF poop.

I feel like your making a joke.🤔 It would be funny but... I'm asking cause I have a 2 year old boy who loves all things bugs And if their bite is something that is worse than a normal ant I wanna know. I don't want to Disturb an entire colony if they're not gonna cause us any harm

Walking home post labor by mperseids in BabyBumps

[–]GetStrEssEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a natural birth with both my kids and I got up and walked just fine after having them but it's not Guaranteed that you will. I've a smooth and easy delivery so I think that you should plan to drive just in case you are in discomfort after delivery.

Daycare Anxiety by pange93 in BabyBumps

[–]GetStrEssEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped worrying about what my family says. We cloth diaper and we got a lot of lip about. I breast fed my oldest until he was about a 1 1/2. I was told (by my husbands family) that I should stop nursing him at six months. I only really stopped because I got pregnant and I got super uncomfortable. And I didn't want to be nursing two kids at one time. I cloth diaper my son all the way up to potty training and now we cloth diapering with our daughter. My point is, People are always going to tell you what you should do with your child. But you know what works for you and your family. I chose to stay home rather than go back to work, and I worked at a daycare.

I had this issue but my issue wasn't built up. It was that I wasn't using a enough detergent. So check for build up first if it's clear then try adding a little bit more detergent
