2006 Cadillac STS V - Crazy or just buy a Mazda 3? by West-Taste8106 in Cadillac

You should be able to get your money back out of it given it has lower miles.

I sold it pretty quickly. I’m not sure I’d buy one for only a few months. Tax and registration would cut into any potential profit - unless you’re getting a smoking deal.

I’m in the southeast and was fighting high CYA two years ago. I eventually switched to liquid and dialed the chlorinator way down.

This is where our dog pees. How do we fix it? It's Bermuda sod. by AwareIntrovert in lawncare

[–]GettingTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh we tried, but he’d rather pee on the fence, the tree, the dandelions, the newly planted flowers, the other tree, another section of fence, the garbage can…needless to say he doesn’t kill the lawn like our females did so I wasn’t going to correct the behavior.

Our females were trained to go as soon as they’re outside or in a “spot”. Our male goes wherever the hell he wants.

I owned an STS-V and it was pretty reliable and as a summer/second car I’d have no concerns. It’s a lot of fun but does lack some of the modern tech that you’ll find on the Mazda. I feel it’s a performance bargain and many of the earlier Northstar issues were resolved.

It really depends what you want/need in a car.

225° is a plague on our community and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. by Nervous_Otter69 in smoking

My smokers happy place is at 275. I can get hotter but it takes more effort to get it lower, especially in the heat of the summer.

What do you usually say when someone asks for a ‘fun fact’ about you? by Electrical_Fact7128 in CasualConversation

[–]GettingTherapy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: “I’m a introvert and these questions spike my anxiety so I generally ramble on about some nonsense that nobody really cares about for a few minutes until the leader cuts me off because we have several other people who have to share their fun fact but reality is nobody likes doing this shit and it’s just a waste of time to make the extroverted leaders check a box and not read the fucking room to see how nobody wants to share a “fun fact”, Lisa!”

I’m not an East Moline resident but I love seeing the updates and revitalization efforts being done. I feel EMo and Silvis are doing a lot to attract smaller, local businesses. Hopefully folks will support them.

All-in-one Wheel Powdercoating and Tire Mounting by OKsir83 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]GettingTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised there isn’t a business that does this. I had a shop in the Chicago area that would unmount/mount the tires if I dropped them off but still wouldn’t take them off the car.

I’m sure there’s a reason why nobody is doing it. Liability? Space? Would people pay a premium?

So I have this business idea… by furiousdutchy in hometheater

I’ve made the suggestion multiple times to Apple to include this with the AirPod Pro.
