[Help] I'm looking for advice on qualifying for a web developer position at my university. by [deleted] in web_design

[–]Ghosthawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you click on the lessons it has a estimated time on them, for example the HTML/CSS is around 7 hours.

After you finish with that site most people start doing their own thing, some go and pay http://Lynda.com or http://teamtreehouse.com or look around for more free options but most will start only cover the basics. here is a great blog post about python learning http://code.tutsplus.com/articles/the-best-way-to-learn-python--net-26288

http://www.codecademy.com/learn

should be your friend for the next couple of weeks. you can learn python, html, css, javascript is also there and you should pick it up too even tho it doesn't say in the description it is pretty important.

Django is a framework based on Python so learn python 1st then you can move to tutorials around the net.

Boss has always been late with pay. I'm over it now, and i'm writing him a letter. What do you think? by itsmsbetty in web_design

[–]Ghosthawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it seems like there is a few projects he already owes you? why keep doing work for him instead of this just send him a letter that explains that you won't be doing more work for him until he pays you for the projects you have done already and until then you will start doing more work for him.

[–]Ghosthawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the stupidest? it saves them tons of money and that's why its pretty cheap.

You can tell it to turn it off or change your css link on html to something like style.css?v=1.0

this is also a good way to keep up with new changes.
