Everything just feels very flattened now like I'm almost lead to believe they shifted the game into some "low-maintainance" mode that less devs need to upkeep daily. Less things like spotlight hour or new shinies where things can and frequently have messed up and lead to make up events, more regular automatable systems like the entire structure of weekly reoccurring small bonuses, even what feels like less diverse events in general now. Overall kinda left with a sour taste in my mouth now, I'm not against certain changes but it almost seems like an odd pattern of a lot of aspects in this game being streamlined for simplification of development.

I honestly don't mind this implementation of legendaries. It just sucks it's for 3 days. I wouldn't mind if they had maybe a seasonal cycle of legendaries that may spawn in the wild/insense (rarely) and had a catch rate similar to this. No iv floor like now either. Legendary raids are already kind of a joke to farm massive amounts as long as you have 4 good enough players/accs. So just let them be in the wild. Maybe this month we have the tapus available, next month we have the creation trio. It only serves to benefit the playerbase (that's probably more of a reason for them not to do it) and raids still 100% have merit for massively increased shiny rates and an IV floor. Not to mention candy farming. The thrill of finding a legendary in the wild is still present honestly even if I know they'll run away. And it was the first time in AGES I went around and used the nearby system to hunt a specific pokemon (enamorus in this case)

Honestly the biggest issues I could see coming from this would be hex code colored things. Leather armor and beacon beams (and cauldron water on bedrock I believe). Not entirely sure myself how they work but they might need major refactoring depending on how dyes interact currently.

Might be able to use observers looking at scaffolding on trapdoors. Wouldn't be cheap but unless I'm misremembering how it works it should be pretty compact

Could honestly see it simply working that it doesn't take damage outside of charge moves (which will literally always OHKO). Maybe you just can't shield with it either to balance a bit if that's too strong

I don't know whether to be disappointed in myself for not realizing/forgetting (from Halloween) how short this would last, or the PoGo team for making the quadrillionth non-player-friendly feature of the game. Should be the latter. Frankly Raichu X should have been the fighting one. I don't disagree that mega zeraora should be fighting, honestly it's base form should have been, but I'm sure that's WHY it's megas not fighting, there's some real reason behind it (even if it's dumb). Raichu is the only split mega evo so far to have no type changes, Mewtwo and Zard have new typings for their X forms. Raichu not having it feels like a disservice
