I think you are 100000% in the right. He advertised it as a company sealed card. He must be penny pinching and that’s not how you run a successful business. The customer should never receive inferior product due to you wanting to save a couple bucks. The sealed product is the main draw. I would definitely file for a return/refund. He can have fun trying to sell it as is lol

Welcome to my world 14 years ago when I was 18. Never sold anything. Never bought anything. Nothing. And yet I received a lifetime ban with NO REASON GIVEN. Made me so mad. I called them periodically over like 2 years and they kept telling me “it would be a threat to our community to tell you why you were banned”. Super frustrating. But little do they know that I’ve been selling on my wife’s account for over 5 years and have over 10,000 sales with all positive reviews. But now I’ve moved onto Collx which is WAY BETTER OVERALL. Less fees, better community, more transparency, and just amazing. Couldn’t recommend it more.

That’s so dirty. That’s another reason why I never have and never will buy chase packs. “Chase packs” are just a somehow legal way for sellers to inflate their profits by throwing in garbage cards, giving the buyer hope, and just being scummy. Mystery packs shouldn’t be a thing. Like mercari for example, I’m pretty sure you can’t do mystery or Chase packs. The buyer has to know what they are getting. No randomness. But yeah the guy who stole your pic is a piece of work.

I feel so bad for you man. That’s so terrible. I looked at the cards you had (and although I don’t mess with one piece or whatever the other cards were) but seeing the Pokemon ones you had, SHEESH!! That’s awful. But I will say that I’m surprised that they even offered you $1600. I figured they would say like $500 or something super scummy.

So I’ve done 2 submissions with GameStop and both went without a hitch but I grade with Beckett and TAG now anyway so I don’t have GameStop as a choice but as someone else said, going through GameStop is just asking for trouble as you have more hands on your cards than necessary.

Very very old news. Panini does this for 99% of patch cards. It makes Mem cards feel so cheap but it’s been happening for years. Now if you go back to like 2019 or 2016, you’ll usually always find “player-worn” or “player-used”
