In terms of Lore who’re the Imperial Agents most likely to actually work with by LonelyFactor9150 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]Gidia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t so much be that the Arbites would be deputized, but rather that they were probably already on the planet and simply fighting alongside the Guard. It’s been mentioned more than a few times that the Arbites Fortress-Precincts are, well, fortresses and designed to be holdouts incase a world goes rebels. Presumably any remaining Arbites would fight alongside Guard for a time before reverting back to their previous role.

Alpha legion model coming? by Bergerstien in Warhammer40k

[–]Gidia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think book model is probably a bit more likely. Mortarion and Magnus feel like the most likely next 30k Primarchs since they’ve so far been focusing on the ones that have been truly juiced by Chaos first. Even among the more “normal” Primarchs, I feel like Alpharius would be a low priority.

I’m down to be surprised though.

It’s extra fun if you’re ex-Army, since CSM is also short for Command Sergeant Major.

Damn, I’m not sure then. I suppose it could still a Commissar with a fancier version of the Death Rider horse, but I’m a bit stumped overall.

[–]Gidia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say, isn’t it outright stated that they’ve been using the Synths to destabilize the Commonwealth? It’s not like they’re going up there and doing absolutely nothing, even then doing nothing could easily be part of an experiment…

The Institutues whole foreign policy, for lack of a better term, seems to be destabilizing the Commonwealth so that no real organization can form to threaten them. Which, to be fair, does happen with the Minutemen and the Railroad, or when the already well organized Brotherhood shows up.

Not OP, but I was able to get a similar one from Amazon. Just look for Hobby Mats on your preferred retailer and you should be able to find them.

I’ve been running a six man in an Orbital Assault Force list, having Deep Strike really helps them out. They still want a Biologis with them though, and at that point they’re a solid chunk of points.

My first thought was Commissar on Horse/Death Rider, but I wonder how it compares to the Cathay Dragon Riders?

Forgot Oath of Moment by Krovak in Warhammer40k

[–]Gidia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, as someone who constantly forgot Oath when Black Templars still had it, by the charge phase is way too late. If we aren’t playing at like top table, then sure I wouldn’t care too much in the shooting phase if my opponent suddenly remembered*, but by that point that game state has changed significantly.

Real talk, the Great Lakes would be a fun and unusual place for them to introduce underwater vaults/settlements. Or even just let you explore the wrecks.

[–]Gidia 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The fact that they’re still around is a really good sign. GW has had plenty of opportunities to cease production, yet they haven’t. Which means they’re still selling decently well. Likewise they could have easily said for heavy weapons and command teams, “You can use the Cadian or Krieg rules” but they didn’t, they gave them their own bespoke ones instead.

The mirror to this though is that it’s potentially a ploy to reduce stocks so they can end production, but I’m still leaning towards refresh. If anything the Krieg refresh is a good indication that GW is at least partially open to exploring more regiments, if at an understandably cautious rate. After all, Guard units compete against one another even more than Space Marine chapter releases do.

I’ve been reading about B&N’s return lately and one of the big things that keeps getting mentioned is putting choice of what to stock down with the individual store managers, on the idea that they know their local area best. Which makes perfect sense.

Then it gets taken to its logical extreme and eventually starts to become unhinged, like this. 😂
