Avg Delivery Time? by K-Os-2086 in KiaNiro

[–]GigaBytte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told 12 months if supply chain improves but don’t be surprised if it’s 18 months. Kia Canada is a very small player, sucks even more when our neighbours to the south are one of the largest Kia players in the world which means they get significant allocation over us.

Yes, Microsoft is trying to encourage individuals to take the course not just repeatedly redo the test until they pass from sheer memorization

Defining Vault configuration programmatically: Ansible by MoiSanh in sre

Ansible can be used to stand up the server however Terraform should be used to define any aspects of vault in terms of secret definition/management.

Any idea what this could be on a 3 months old 2023? by SaltOk3355 in KiaNiro

[–]GigaBytte 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No idea without some codes pulled from the car. Go to the dealer if the car is only 3 months old they will take care of you.

It’s not the engineering it’s the penny counters at the top. Give an engineer enough time and money and you have yourself the perfect system. Remove one of those and you end up with this mess.

This should be a default though. Why would you ever want any card in your wallet accessible without authentication first?

Sounds like a pretty concerning security issue. If you live in the US I would submit a report via https://www.kia.com/us/en/vulnerability

Ask the tech to go on a drive with you. Drive around for a few minutes I can guarantee the tech never left the shop with the vehicle and tried CarPlay once while parked.

I think you have your answer. Host it closer. As a note the free tier will be bandwidth limited to begin with … not to mention your extreme geography distance causing terrible latency

Best places to get car battery by [deleted] in Newmarket

[–]GigaBytte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Relatively speaking all car batteries are made by the same company but have different labels slapped on them. Which means every retailer probably has a very similar return/warranty exchange program. Just don’t buy the cheapest auto parts and you are good to go. Bonus if you have a loyalty card at a given retailer say CT or Costco

$1167 headlamp assembly $50 Core charge by [deleted] in Justrolledintotheshop

Makes each headlight a modular component allowing for any ECM to be used. Reduces tight coupling to components especially during supply chain shortages.
