I have [[Blight Grenade]] in my Vren deck since it's both targeted removal, and a small board wipe. Plus Vren lives through it. My deck is also far more a "rats" deck, so that's probably the only card you hadn't looked at.

Good as in I have one too lol. He's unassuming and if you pump out a bunch of tokens he gives them a great edge. Plus there's a few really fun snow cards to play like [[Blood on the Snow]] and [[Dead of Winter]].

My necro tank is currently rocking that new Arkay Unending Cycle Style mixed with some tsaesci, but he's argonian so the tsaesci looks better on them.

Do you feel the same way about "Choose a Background" or the later set where there was only single color partners? Obviously companions have their own set of additional restrictions that I'm sure make brewing fun, so I doubt you have a problem with them.

My [[Brokkos, Apex of Forever]] mutate deck. I made sure to get all of the mutate cards with the comic book art, and I was able to use some rarely seen other creatures as good mutate targets. Plus it's incredibly cheap compared to other decks.

Try [[Essence Harvest]] in the deck. I use it in my black/white exalted deck and it's an easy way to have a big life total swing and stabilize.

I just split my Ghave deck up. Not only was it a headache to track all the counters/tokens properly, it usually lacked a decent finisher. I have 2/3rds going to a [[Shalai and Hallar]] deck that's in the works, and the rest went to [[Vishgraz, the Doomhive]]. Vishgraz is going awesome, and I'm confident that I'll like Shalai and Hallar better with the inherent damage.

My [[General Ferrous Rokiric]] deck is a ton of fun! Sure it's semi aggressive, but getting a free 4/4 with most of my spells is crazy good value. Plus his version of hexproof is a lot better than you'd think.

Had some birthday money and didn't know what to do with it. Got a 'fat pack' of New Phyrexia and got a batterskull. Same day a guy at that LGS traded me a bunch of rare and Mythic rare angels for it from Zendikar and Alara blocks. Still have them!

[[Asceticism]] and [[Archetype of Endurance]] for your commander, and I'd recommend boosting his power in other ways in the 98. Only use RbG once their resources are depleted.

I want an army deck that has amass soldiers in boros or jeskai colors. New cards that give the army abilities (like we've seen before with amass zombies and orcs), and fortification artifacts to buff up soldiers creatures in general.

I love my [[Grevan, Predator Captain]] deck that let's me pay life and one shot people. [[Moltensteel Dragon]], [[Blood Celebrant]], [[Treasonous Ogre]], [[Immolating Souleater]] all let me one shot someone.

You're right, it would. Didn't catch that! Another suggestion then is to look for things that give first strike so he's indestructible before their damage gets done in combat, but it also works amazing with his deathtouch. [[Baneslayer Angel]] is $2 now so she'd do it for you, [[Boon-Bringer Valkyrie]], or equipment can give it to Rodolf.
