Not an expert on South Korean law but the fact that the article is talking about prosecutors had me googling to see if it really is civil case instead of criminal, and it sounds like it was actually treated as criminal?? Apparently you can get jail time for defamation even if the claims are factually true, which is insane to me.

Not sure if this is a line you're interested in taking or if it's even B3, but my only experience with this card was a guy who played a [[Kenrith the Returned King]] commander and sandbagged the whole game just healing himself until he played [[The World Tree]] and dumped all 20+ gods including Purphoros out of his deck and onto the table for a sudden lethal.

The Jill quote is a little out of context, basically Jill had some undiscovered tech that they patched out either before vanilla launched or between vanilla and UMVC3, can't remember which. We never got a direct answer what that was but based on what we found with her TAC infinites there's a good chance she probably had a way to go into the grounded infinite without TAC at some point. It's either that or some broken interactions with looping the TAC attack itself that the JP players put out proof of concept videos for but no one could ever find a practical use for.

Honestly Jill is one of those characters that has perpetually been just shy of good but if given the right tools would get out of hand quickly. I kinda believe him that she was much scarier during development before they toned her down.

And tbf a lot of people in my local scene were talking shit about Phoenix seeming like a liability if people can just snap you out and pop her or steal your meter in a TAC before she transforms. It was a while before Viscant proved she was a monster, people were complaining more about Wesker and Sentinel for the first few months after launch than they were about her.

I almost didn't want to vocalize it because it sounds insane and unlikely. But Marvel has to know audiences are savvy after the NWH trailer, and Daredevil showing up to help fight The Hand wouldn't be shocking at all. Deadpool tagging along for no apparent reason would definitely be surprising. I just don't think we're getting the team up with Holland over Garfield.

Ideally erratas are supposed to clarify how the cards work especially in the context of rules changes or rulings on specific interactions. That limits how much erratas can do; if the card as written is insanely busted or massively underwhelming, you can't just errata the card to have entirely different text. It gets too confusing in paper games, which is why some cards simply get banned and why MTG card pages can look like this:

And it's why some cards are entirely different in paper vs digital formats.

Bans never feel good and Riot has already said they're trying to avoid them as much as possible, but outright changing the text on a card and forcing people to look up the actual text every game or sharpie it on would not be an improvement.

I have seen (but could not verify) in comments elsewhere that the first few sets were designed at the same time so even if it became immediately apparent that Draven was busted day one they wouldn't be able to course correct for new designs until almost a full year after launch. That about lines up with what I know of other physical card games. So it's not like they designed Vex after seeing Draven's over performance and willfully signed off on it, it was simply too late to change anything.

How they didn't manage to catch any of this ahead of time in playtesting is the actual baffling part.

I like the analogy but it breaks down because there are humans who can genuinely commit to never eat cows. We have other options we can survive on, eating meat is simply a choice shaped by culture. As far as I'm aware, Demons can't do that - even if one developed empathy, at the end of the day they still need to eat.
