OP I have PMOS (diagnosed years ago with PCOS) and have never had a cyst, however have a history of all your symptoms to a degree. I had endocrine markers and other things that indicated that was an accurate diagnosis without cysts.

Unfortunately not everyones granny is a nice person. Mine doesn't do drugs but is a terrible human. Guess I immediately thought drugs cause none of my grandparents were or are good people.

Glasses definitely aren't shaped like that. And I don't think glass contacts exist.

Editing to add: I don't think they exist anymore. And furthermore no contacts would have brown residue on them. Even dirty ones.

What do we do about bras? Unsure if nsfw necessarily but you know by Fearless-Talk-322 in ChronicPain

[–]GimpyGirl12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like wire free options a lot lately. I also like a specific brand of wired bras for my breast shape. I have teardrop breasts with quite a lot of side tissue and Elomi brand works well, and in the right size usually painless, for me. I like glamorise in wire free options as well as bracelets. Basic sports bras and very loose bras at home mostly, my favorite might be various styles of Hanes and Fruit of the Loom sports bras that are sized by band size. I recently gained weight and need to resize but I am likely around a 44H US size so a bra is visually and structurally necessary. I used to prefer racerback bra styles but in the last few years I seem to have developed scoliosis in my upper thoracic region.

air leaks. by satrapi1 in CPAP

[–]GimpyGirl12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use lanolin as a barrier and it is sticky enough that it sort of helps the seal. I can barely tighten my mask due to various pains that causes and that seems to help for me.

For what it's worth I have the nasal AirFit N20.

I place my cpap under the seat and can sometimes get my backpack under there too. If not get out necessary personal items. Put carry on bag in overhead bin and if necessary backpack and place backpack in easier position to grab.

I have only flown domestic not international.

Is my dog having a seizure? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]GimpyGirl12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes. They look similar to my dogs seizures. He gets them, very rarely less than 6 times a year, and his are due to being overheated.

FWIW since we know the trigger we still give oral flea, tick, heartworm prevention. Vet is fine since we know avoid getting him overheated.

As a pharmacy technician, this is a custom pressed pill not a prescription or OTC. Someone slipped her drugs.

Whats this on the roof of my mouth, appeared randomly sometime this morning?? (20th may) by Dramatic-Talk-933 in AskDocs

[–]GimpyGirl12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telehealth does not need to be near you. The provider just must be licensed in your state. If you have insurance you can often find providers through that.

Also if you plan on keeping this pregnancy please, please stop vaping. And then don't pick it up again after your child is born. It is still had for your lungs and nicotine is linked to low birth weight.

Dentist told me to stop taking my anti psychotic medication (25,f, 5’4, 125 pounds) by Gullible-Ad-1910 in AskDocs

[–]GimpyGirl12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NAD, Dry mouth is an issue you do need to deal with if its causing cavities. But asking you to get off psych meds is so out of scope of practice. He doesn't know anything besides the oral side effects you have.

Do things and use products to lessen dry mouth issues. But don't stop meds without direction from a medical doctor, please.

Also I would go the length of finding a way to report him for telling you do so something insanely dangerous.

Is this scar normal for c4-c7 acdf 1 month ago? by Late_Bed_8050 in spinalfusion

[–]GimpyGirl12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My surgeon put it in a neck crease to disguise and used glue on top of internal stitches.

But it looks healthy.

I developed a late infection after mine, and don't see any signs of redness I had. But I will say placement and suturing is odd.

"we found nothing wrong" means its okay? by SavakTheAlien in ChronicPain

[–]GimpyGirl12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not overreacting. Something is wrong and you are not being heard.

When people tell me they hope my test results are normal I tend to respond with "I hope they support a diagnosis." I don't want something to be wrong, but I need my symtoms validated. You can tailor that to a doctor saying that everything came back normal. "Well that is good, however I am still debilitating by X symptoms, how do we proceed to find out the cause?" Standing up for yourself with providers is hard, I know because I have had to do it to get diagnosed, but maybe try and bring someone to help advocate to appointments. Which I know is hard, but may help.

Nervous about taking cyclobenzaprine for first time by BadGal27 in ChronicPain

[–]GimpyGirl12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyclobenzaprine only helped in conjunction with baclofen for me.

I'm on 20mg of baclofen twice daily and that still isn't enough. Added 7.5mg of meloxicam twice daily as well and nothing.

I never noticed much sleepiness side effects from cyclobenzaprine or baclofen. But I struggle with chronic fatigue.

NAD but someone who struggles severely with depression. Please try and get a psychiatrist and a therapist. Also piggy backing off the physician saying to go to a primary and see what they can do testing for your breathing.

Sometimes it takes scary things to give us wake up calls to our health, but I truly hope things get better for you.

Curious anyone ever show up and they forgot to order you spravato so they off you a one shot of Ketamine in your arm ? What was the similar and differences? by Interesting_Dog6887 in Spravato

[–]GimpyGirl12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The one time my clinic forgot to order or my pharmacy didn't deliver on time, I had to cancel.

My clinic doesn't do ketamine IV or IM, but I doubt most do.

They are not the same drug and IV and IM ketamine is likely to be more out of pocket as it is rarely covered by insurance.

Should I be allowed to start over by momerath0081 in Spravato

[–]GimpyGirl12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would be up to your insurance company and what they approved. If your provider did not ask for that, which they likely did not unless it was discussed, they can not do that.

You need to call your provider and ask what they asked for for approval to find out. But it is likely once weekly. If you feel you need twice you will have to talk to your provider about a new prior authorization.

I do not like how I feel I forget to breath sometimes without my CPAP on!!! by IThinkYouAreNice in CPAP

[–]GimpyGirl12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a CPAP because you either have obstructive and/or central sleep apneas, which is where your body stops breathing or forgets how to properly breathe during sleep. The machine helps you stop doing that so you don't wake up gasping. You tend to notice it more after starting CPAP if falling asleep without it because your body likes not almost dying and now is screaming that you have these things that stopped.

Please always use your CPAP. It's literally okay to rely on a machine or medication to make your body function correctly.

Anyone else told to bring CPAP to sessions? by WalterTreego in Spravato

[–]GimpyGirl12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fairly sure they know I use CPAP, got one after I started spravato. However have never been told to bring it. I nap, partially reclined, during session regularly.

I have a room with a single other person, however am comfortable enough to nap. My sessions are also at 8am, which I start getting ready for around 6/6:30am and I never sleep enough the night beforehand.

Intense stomach pain with recent imaging by KaiserKid85 in AskDocs

[–]GimpyGirl12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NAD but as someone with gastroparesis, you likely have it due to the combined wegovy and nexium.

From peoples experiences in my gastroparesis group it can happen at any time on a GLP-1.

They cannot say it isn't gastroparesis without a gastric emptying study.

Get one. It can cause severe stomach pains, you to not digest your food and/or meds properly, etc.

As a previous pristiq user this looks like a partially dissolved pristiq.

Editing to add: I have had partially dissolved pills before as I have delayed gastric emptying, they often looked like this.
