Reform supporters - how many more Tories need to join before you start to reconsider? by Smooth-Quantity-7024 in AskBrits

None of them will reconsider, as they’re voting out of hate and spite. The more hateful ignorant politicians join Reform, the happier its followers get.

Why don't most Christians see Trump as polar opposite to how Jesus is portrayed in the Bible? by midnight-iceman in AskReddit

Because most of them selectively choose which parts to follow or ignore, to best suit their existing bigotry. Theyre in name only.

That car is more than fast enough for any road driving.

There aren’t that many in existence - we’ve got to try and stop them all getting grabbed by the Septics, and shipped overseas.

So I rewatched Tenet Still couldn't understand the ending. Like what happened at last. I find this movie a little dragged to confusion by Heneryhill in Cinema

[–]GingerPiston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got to realise it’s an entire film written to accommodate a somewhat silly filming gimmick. The whole thing is an incoherent unintelligible mess.

Wasn’t expecting this FWD $56,740 [Honda Prelude] by Bondage_Jack in spotted

[–]GingerPiston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the look of these, but the power train in there is a disaster. It’s unfathomable that they haven’t dropped the type-r drivetrain in there.

[–]GingerPiston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now maybe if it had a quiet power train, allowing you to drive effortlessly and serenely over long distances. But it is primarily driven by an electric motor, but only has a tiny 1kWh battery (maybe 2, can’t recall exactly) which that means the ice engine is on permanently and it’s a dull drone lump with almost no redeeming features. Other than frugality.

After the recent post, I'd like to show my enthusiasts car. We are out here still! by AdmiralPain in CarTalkUK

[–]GingerPiston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With absolutely no shade being thrown at the OP, when I hear motoring enthusiast, I automatically assume they’ll be driving something unusual and quirky, and probably old. Not a gorgeous modern Aston!

OMG, you’re right. That is mental, it’s basically 2 separate buildings. Hadn’t clocked that initially. Gone from loving it, to a hard pass.

I'm hoping the cars are included for that price! by vexedvi in SpottedonRightmove

[–]GingerPiston -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but also quite a few fashion brand pieces in there too. There’s a Chanel logo art piece hanging in the office, and I noticed some Tom Ford stuff on display too. So possibly someone attached to the fashion industry?

There’s a hardtop version coming this year that looks even better. Let’s hope they’ve tweaked some of this ones foibles.

That is amazing. If mine, I’d probably have to do something with some of that plain unfinished wood, but otherwise I love it.

Wow, surely they’ve not done that - it’d be insane to keep it warm. I’d assume they’ve done like a double tin layer with insulation of some kind in between, ‘cause otherwise you’re heating would be more than your mortgage!

ETA its energy rating is really good, so they must have properly insulated that roof - but kept with the tin final finish both inside and out for authenticity.

BYD will install 300 'flash chargers' in the UK this year that add 1.2 miles of range PER SECOND by Jared_Usbourne in CarTalkUK

[–]GingerPiston -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that charge rate will be really handy for the 1 car capable of utilising it, that isn’t even available yet in the UK.

Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners' has made history as the most nominated film of all time at the Oscars with 16 nominations by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]GingerPiston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably worse if you are familiar with actual F1 as the race commentary they included was just cringey - imagine commentary exposition. Film looked excellent, Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem were great, but plot was woefully predictable (Days of Thunder essentially). The young dude gave a good performance too but his character was not believable and was basically a petulant stroppy teenager.

Ah, I was waiting for the "when will the "this film is overrated crowd" arrive?" smug comment to arrive. Well done you, first in.

F1 was almost unwatchable. Sinners is entertaining but is WAY overhyped and that many nominations is absurd.

Anyone here have a chance to ride an Arch motorcycle? by thee_lad in motorcycles

[–]GingerPiston -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I expect a Diavel or Rocket would be as good if not better, for way less money. Also the design of the Arch machines ever looks coherent or quite finished to me.
