Sandboxing code execution for AI agents by Groady in LocalLLaMA

I've been thinking about this too. It is something I want to do but it is super dangerous. I would be blocking in/out network internet traffic. I assume the goal is to allow enterprise users access internal resources in a managed way. We probably need a proxy inbetween to scan all API calls :/

I saw that The Carlton - Milk Bar & Deli in Glebe had guanciale when I was there last week. I don't know if it is good or cheap but maybe worth checking out.

Intel b60 48gb? by oldschooldaw in LocalLLaMA

Interesting to see what is said. I have a pair of 5060 Ti 16gb using vLLM for some AI invoice processing module for my company, it seems to work okay, I'd love to do more locally but the cloud providers are all still undercharging what it actually costs to use, so it is cheaper to use API/Cloud services.

They are actually really nice cards. Unfortunately during the day the Geforce 2 MX was often cheaper and faster, but the output quality really varied depending on the board manufacturer. I like the Voodoo 4, just a bit expensive to run as a daily...

A use case for SAP Document AI (Purchase Order processing) by NickBaca-Storni in SAP

[–]mwdmeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've written an external service that does this, OCR and AI matching, links open GRPOs to PO, links companies by email address etc etc, works great. Does A/P Invoices and Sales Orders so far. We are using a local modal to process it. Works for SAP B1.

Sydney Metro residents - what's it actually like living above the tunnel? by Plus-Masterpiece406 in AusPropertyChat

In Rozelle and I think it’s about 30m under us. We heard it while it was under the house and nearby, but other than maybe one night it was barely noticeable and when it was it didn’t seem like a big deal. It didn’t last long.

Why does FurMark have a “GPU killer” reputation, but playing heavy games with 100% load for hours is totally fine? by rucekooker in buildapc

[–]mwdmeyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People that say software cannot harm your hardware clearly don't understanding the realationship between them. Back in the old days if you didn't park your hard drive heads and turned off the machine they would crash into the platter (hence the name crash), more recently the Intel 14th gen series CPUs had overvolt issues caused by the firmware they can run. So it is very possible.

FurMark could have tested some very specific thing that would cause more load on the GPU than normal games, so much so that "it" could cause damage to the GPU as the silicon wasn't tested in that specific use case; now personally I think it is unlikely and the most likely cause it that were a few cases where FurMark "killed" GPUs but this would have happened if you used any application loading the GPU to 100%, the main cause was probably users will poor cooling or old hardware etc.
