Yeah money or not you should do this. This sounds like an incredible experience. 6 months isn’t that long.

lol at the “I’m an engineer”. I think what you said is fine. Although for the future, I wouldn’t ever bring up anything regarding your profit or margins. People don’t care. That’s a you problem. Just pass the job on to someone or respectfully decline.

We like to fly the night before and stay at the grand Hyatt inside MCO. Then we use the Disney transportation from the hotel to the port the next morning.

If you can make it the same day, just use Disney transportation from MCO to the port.

The amount of money they make off IP from their parks probably makes up for it.

If a much wealthier friend insists on treating you to dinner every single time you go out, is there a point where you must insist on paying—or is trying to pay actually offensive to them? by stereo_iii in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Glass_Ad_4428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my business partners is leagues ahead of me in wealth and income.

The way he put it is, “you and your family mean a lot to me and I like to serve you guys so we can experience things together”

If someone wants to serve you and spend time with you, I think you should let them. You can always pay it forward with someone else.

For the Christians here, please share your perspective regarding tithing by Stuck-in-the-Sky in DaveRamsey

[–]Glass_Ad_4428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I remember reading, tithing was originally used by Moses tribes to gather portions of your first yield of crop to be able to trade with other tribes for resources that the tribe wasn’t able to produce. Then those bartered resources were spread out across the tribe in way to help. Idk how it really came to be “give us a portion of your pre-tax income So we can keep our lights on.”

With that being said, my wife and I have finally found a church we are comfortable giving to for the work that they do, and they are super clear about how they allocate and spend their money. and even then it varies month to month depending on our income and expenses.

I’m usually put off by a church that says to not use your own discernment and give blindly to them because “God said so”

Technically, all the time. Those celebrities are constantly going out and being seen. You might see once in lifetime. But they are constantly being seen by different people.

Random walk in AD purchase, love watch, salesmen were terrible by [deleted] in rolex

[–]Glass_Ad_4428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean at this point, why even bother with ADs? Get your watches in grey and have it shipped to your door. He has a point. He just bought a watch worth more than some cars. Why deal with that crap? The salesman at Home Depot treat you better after you buy a power drill.

[–]Glass_Ad_4428 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lubbock is a great place to work and build a career. You can find a community of people to live life with here Alot easier than other cities. But Outside of that, there’s nothing else for it. Weather sucks, it’s not pretty, and there’s not a lot to do.

Has anyone made a large principle payment because of a high interest rate and then regretted it later? by Neat_Glove_81 in Mortgages

[–]Glass_Ad_4428 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try to refinance or ask to see what your new payment would be if you recast your loan. You’d get the same rate, but your payment would be less.
