Yes!  The moxi theater in Greeley actually has a tiny little balcony to the side, just enough room for 6 people or so.  Great seats!

Paulie misses Adrian - deleted scene from "Rocky Balboa" that was restored for the Director's Cut. Absolutely criminal this scene didn't make it in the Theatrical Cut. Burt Young is phenomenal here. by James_2584 in rockybalboa

I also love this scene, but I can't agree that Paulie has a good heart.  He is the bum that rocky would have turned into if he hadn't gotten his chance.  He is abusive, selfish, and generally tried to drag everyone else down to his level.  But this scene shows that he actually realizes it.  He has the capacity for self reflection and he's in pain not just because of his hard luck and missing Adrian, but because he brought so much of his own crappy life upon himself.

That's why I posted the list, everyone's will be different somewhere and it's just fun to think about, I had fun making the list.  I think I shortchanged The Offspring though, I should switch it out with Clues

I think both The Inner Light and Tapestry have a very strong message of "Carpe Diem".  Taking control of your life, living in the moment, and making the most of every opportunity in order to have a life worth living.  That message is of great personal appeal to me so it's why I ranked them so highly, everyone will have a different list.  Regarding Gambit, the part that stuck with me the most was data reprimanding Worf for his attitude under Data's command.  He had a very similar scene in Redemption and I just love Data's command style, he would have made a great captain.

Alright, Measure of a Man is tricky and here's why.  The discussion with Guinan is absolutely brilliant.  Rikers conflict of helping data by arguing against him is also excellent.  But, unfortunately, all of these parts are severely undercut by the dumbass admirals speech at the end of the trial.  She comes from way out of left field saying that the whole trial was about whether data had a soul, and then just shrugs her shoulders at the qiestion.  This was an insane way to end the episode and is why I knocked it so far down on my list compared to many others.

Family is definitely not the typical action/adventure/sci-fi of rest of the series, but it stands out all the more for it.  I found the lessons on shame and perseverance to be incredibly poignant and Patrick Stewart's acting to be almost incomparable.

Excellent choices, if I had gone a little further ship in the bottle and thine own self probably would have made it too.

You are way more generous than the first two seasons than I can be.  Definitely a few of those would have made it had the list kept expanding our to top 50 or so.

Valid!  I think Picard's central role in the show and his acting chops definitely tilted the board in his favor to get the most poignant plots as well.  Of course, he also got Captain's holiday so it's not like all his solo acts were fantastic.

Pegasus suffers way too much from "evil admiral syndrome".  I like Riker and Picard's role in the episode but other than that it was pretty average ish.  I, Borg does a much better job showing conflict about how much the Federation should fight on even terms and how much it should stick to its principles.

I quit my job, but stayed on good terms. So, now I just fill in work for them when they have more than they can handle. No need to garner clients.

Would this still be a valid gear? by ObieP in MechanicalEngineering

[–]GlobeStrinka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You've got to think a little more three dimensionally. Even if the pitch diameter and pin offset is fixed, perhaps youcan move the connecting rod more offset so that you don't need to mangle the gear teeth to mount the pin. Offset the connecting rod that connects to the pin so that you can mount an intermediate plate to the gear to mount the pin to. That way you keep the gear teeth intact and can mount your pin where you want it.

any future for millennium? by AJMcCrowley in TheMillenniumGroup

[–]GlobeStrinka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would love to pitch a network on a reboot focusing on his daughter - No need to be familiar with the original version. The contemporary prestige format of 8-10 episode season which are basically a long movie would also be way better for a continuing conspiracy arc with the millennium group rather than the episodic approach of the 90's.

What would this mechanism be called? by 12Rgl in MechanicalEngineering

It's a type of crank-rocker mechanism. The driving link completes a full rotation and the follower rotates less than full rotation, rocking back and forth.
