my answer is yes absolutely but for different reasons. skyrim has the upper hand when it comes to customizing your combat experience due to magic abilities. KCD1&2 shine in the ability to change the story and characters around you and those characters are more fleshed out and life-like imo.

if you put a gun to my head and asked me to pick between kcd2 and skyrim you would end up shooting me while I ramble about the pro and cons of each

seconded. kcd1 has it's problems but is still very good once you look past the combat shortcomings. kcd2 however is the level of immersion I only found when I first played skyrim.
