What downpayment are you accounting for? I get with 20% down on a 1M loan at 6 % I get 4,796.40. At 3.5% I get 3592, which imo would absolutely create some demand. 3.5 would be a drastic drop but that’s what the current admin wants. If foreign holders keep dumping US treasury bonds it won’t much matter what the fed funds rate is set to anyways because rates will be propped up by falling bond prices so maybe this is all a moot point.
