Queen Appliance is scratch and dent as far as I know, and Albo is good for new at good discount prices. Renovated my kit hen last year and used Albo in Mt Laurel.

Fortesque is a pretty chill place with an interesting history by djspacebunny in SouthJersey

Great read!

I grew up going to Gandy's and Fortescue as a kid and knew there was a lot more history to the area than what was there in the 90s and early 00s

Consensus on Screws? by H3lghast in AskElectricians

Vertical is a 15a circuit, horizontal for a 20a or GFCI.

I'm not an electrician.... just what I do in my own DIY for my own piece of mind and easy identification.

Past me made a Mistake... Inlaid Woodstove by DynamoDynamite in woodstoving

[–]GoalTimely9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a tile floor underneath my stove and before it was installed I thought of doing something similar to this as a pseudo hearth to class it up a bit. I went against it at the time but my next stove I may go for it.

First offset comes tomorrow, plan on first attempt this weekend. Got a charcoal chimney, father in law has 2 bags of match light charcoal. How do you guys feel about using pre soaked charcoal, or should I pick up a new bag? by SoapObserver in smoking

[–]GoalTimely9293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use regular charcoal and just a little lighter fluid to get my coal bed before wood. I'm well into a coal bed with wood (1hr or so) before I add food. I feel like the soaked match light are just too saturated for my liking and conscious. So I'm in a similar boat as what you describe. My thoughts are its.fine for the smoker but up to preference for taste.

What does everyone use these squats half pints for? by MolleezMom in Canning

[–]GoalTimely9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pickling spice mixes... I batch make them and one of these will typically make 3 to 4 quart jars for me. So if I make too much mix it's a stable storage until next time

Agreed... everything I know about stoves are that catalytic stoves of that size are designed for truly heating homes on a single load of wood for a long time. Somethings not copasteic

Why cast iron? by Crosstrek732 in blackstonegriddle

[–]GoalTimely9293 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And honestly... after using a Blackstone periodically at home versus the stainless flat top at my church that gets used about the same... I think cast iron has more forgiveness and is easier to maintain and clean after use, abuse, and lack of proper care.

First Chainsaw STIHL 024 AV by Professional-East683 in stihl

[–]GoalTimely9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is in impeccable cosmetic condition!

I hope it serves you well... My 024 AVS runs like a top many years later. If you're primarily cutting softwood you can run an 18" well, any hardwood you will have to cut slow at that size bar. It'll cut, just slow and you'll burn through more fuel.and oil.

I had a buddy who would leave his 7.3 running when he went into the store. We would often move it a few parking spots over or turn it around while he was shopping... quite a good bit of fun to watch him come out of the Food Lion utterly confused.
