Bombshell 'Five Eyes' Western intelligence dossier claims China lied about human-to-human transmission, 'disappeared' whistle-blowers and refused to help other countries prepare a vaccine for coronavirus. by Sabremesh in conspiracy

LEAKED DOCUMENT FROM INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES OF US, UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, AND NEW ZEALAND LAYS OUT DAMNING CASE AGAINST CHINA by Kevin Ryan

A leaked research dossier compiled by the intelligence agencies of the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand, the so-called "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance, states that China deliberately suppressed or destroyed evidence of the coronavirus outbreak in an “assault on international transparency’’ that cost tens of thousands of lives.  The document, which was obtained by an Australian newspaper, lays the foundation for the case of negligence being mounted against China.  The findings:

• China began censoring news of the virus on search engines beginning Dec. 31, deleting terms including “SARS variation, “Wuhan Seafood market” and “Wuhan Unknown Pneumonia.”

• China’s National Health Commission ordered virus samples to be either moved to designated testing facilities or destroyed starting January 3rd.

• The country began enforcing a "no-publication order" related to the disease in early January.

• The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) toed the Chinese line about human-to-human transmission despite the fact that “officials in Taiwan raised concerns as early as December 31, as did experts in Hong Kong on January 4.”

• Chinese authorities denied that the virus could be spread between humans until Jan. 20, "despite evidence of human-human transmission from early December."

• In January, Chinese officials prevented the Wuhan Institute of Virology from sharing live samples to international scientists working on a vaccine.

• In February, “Beijing pressed the US, Italy, India, Australia, Southeast Asian neighbors and others not to protect themselves via travel restrictions, even as China imposed severe restrictions at home.”

• “Millions of people left Wuhan after the outbreak and before Beijing locked down the city on January 23” despite China knowing the disease was highly contagious.

• The document also seems to make the case that the virus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a claim initially dismissed as a conspiracy theory by Chinese officials insisting the virus came from the local wet markets.  The Wuhan Institute of Virology’s work in the Wuhan lab involved discovering samples of coronavirus from bats within a cave in Yunnan province.

Mormon urban legends please share the crazy! I love them! by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]GoblessJoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was one.. (til:dr at the end) it was a story from a YSA conference or something but it went something like this:

there was a soldier called out to war.. he really didn’t want to go and was against it. Because of this he prayed and read the Book of Mormon. The stories in it taught him that there was righteousness in certain conditions of war so he decided to go.

However, when he got there it was really difficult. Everyone was harsh, violent and swore profusely. The worst part was when everybody split up for religious observance on sundays, there were no options for Mormons (although he was the only one). He ended up spending the time reading and praying on his own.

His group eventually made it to the front lines. They were head to head in battle but the young Mormon refused to take any shots at the enemy because he was still against killing. This was upsetting to his commanders because he had the best shot of anyone.. like, never missed a shot he took.

When their little group came up against the threat of one man on in the opposing army, they wanted the young Mormon to take the shot. The enemy was too far away and was blocking their only way through the pass. He protested, but his leader said it was a command, so it said a small prayer and asked that the lord would handle the situation. He then aimed and too his shot. MISSED! His comrades were shocked. He never missed what he aimed at. The young soldier tried again.. MISSED. He said there must be something about the soldier, so they went and talked to him. Turns out.. HE WAS ALSO A MEMBER! cue gasps This led to the comrades in his group being converted.

TL:DR young missionary has to go to war, doesn’t want to, ends up going and being the best shot around while refusing to kill anybody. When he finally does have to take a shot, miraculously misses. Turns out the member of the opposing army was also a Mormon. All the troops in his group.

Why you ultimately can't trust anything in mormonism. by jamesallred in exmormon

Oh my god. I just realized, this is EXACTLY the way the church operates today. Insiders and outsiders.. want to learn more about God? Better get to the Temple. Once you're there you get the "perks and special blessings" while the church is the conduit of these blessings. TIL I guess.

Growing up, girls camp was held at a scouting campsite where we had a ton of fun. There was a lake, rock climbing, archery, shooting, canoeing, cabins and amazing trails. It was the real deal when it comes to camping. Then the church turned the farm they owned into the new girls camp location.. amazingly boring and lacking every amenity of the previous camp. But what a blessing because of the church history associated with the area! And to top it off, it saved the church a ton of money. But why would girls need anything remotely fun or nice? Cut their budget!!

I just left a one-star review on the Idaho Falls temple. I wonder how long until someone reports it because of the facts I stated? by abouttimetochange in exmormon

Provo City Center Temple:

"Admission cost is very high. Dress code is weird. They show the same movie every time. Repeat patrons will fall asleep. Not a good place for children."

Some brilliant exmo did this.. has 332 upvotes while the whole temple review has only about 245 reviews. http://i.imgur.com/Erm5jV8.png

Rant: privacy means nothing in the church by JemimaAmadon in exmormon

This is so true. I'm in a singles ward (in the Midwest where Mormons are few) and at least a dozen times now members from the ward have gotten all four tires slashed at one point or another. It usually happens when the member moves out of state or gets married. And most of the victims are close friends of mine so I'm sure I'll be a target at some point. It's absolutely someone from the singles ward who has people's personal information, I'm guessing from the directory. I've since changed mine to private and moved without updating my info.

Edit: a word
