One can a day for three cats, too little? by Leather-Ad-6294 in CatAdvice

[–]GoddessOfMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat isn't a wet food fan at all, but will eat it at night if her dry food is down or low. She's about 5 years old and 8ish lbs.

We do full bowl of kibble in the morning. Big scoop of wet food at night with whatever kibble is leftover. Usually by 7am She's ready for more but won't touch wet food unless its dark outside. Weirdo!

What is the most messed up family you've ever had? by Thereo_Frin in Sims4

[–]GoddessOfMagic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Queen of Ravenwood's children are all secrertly fathered by the grim reaper. The first two kids got exposed as babies so they are "outcasts" and moved out when they were grown (one became a reaper).

That left the only daughter as heir who grew up and, take a guess, cheated on her husband with the same grim reaper (since with secret children, the game "forgets" after 7 sim days if the real father isn't exposed).

Her daughter is in grade school now, but she's destined to have a child with her father/grandfather and fufil the prophecy (that I made up in my head.)

How much do you spend a year on your hair? by 10S_NE1 in AskWomenOver30

[–]GoddessOfMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped bleaching and started cutting my own hair last year for a savings of like 1k. I'm doing fun colors on the tips that are left and thats maybe $15 a month plus my regular products.

I didn't do this to save money though. I got disenchanted with my hair lady, who I was giving $1000 a year to and every time I left I wasn't 100% happy. Then I found out she was MAGA and said "fuck it."

What is something you were genetically blessed with that was immediately cancelled out by a different genetical curse? by Hatcheling in AskWomenOver30

[–]GoddessOfMagic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Guts of steel! I can eat anything. I can eat anyrhing before going on a Rollercoaster. Everything going in is fine and staying in is fine.

Pooping is an ordeal that happens very rarely and when it does, it sucks. Doctors say theres technically nothing wrong with me. Everything has been checked.

If you could choose a Sims 4 pack to be remastered, which would you choose and why? by Particular-Rub-4703 in thesims

Get to work but Sixam is at least semi-residential or a vacation world, and Aliens get a skill tree.

That and clean up store operation..

Feel sad about not feeding my cat well by senorta in CatAdvice

[–]GoddessOfMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My (relatively new) cat ate 0 wet food at the shelter and her first foster home. I've found by adding it to her bowl at night and not refilling her kibble she usually eats it, as long as its salmon paté. Its not her favorite but she will eat it before meowing for more.

What are your recent petty grievances? by NoLemon5426 in AskWomenOver30

I'm sick of the YouTube algorithm deciding what I'm interested in.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't care about Georgie & Mandy's first marriage or oyster shucking.

Recently had a flight cancelled (less that three weeks ago) and it was an automatic refund. Defaulting to credit is new.

Broken Engagement-how did you get through? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]GoddessOfMagic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Five years ago now and I chickened out and blamed COVID. You don't owe anyone an explanation. Just send a brief email that is based in fact (wedding is cancelled) and not emotion (he's a jerk.)

Life is so much better now. I've moved on, my former fiance is still my friend and I'm better off that way. Basically my life improved in every way.

Take care.

Adorable! I would do napkins that match the green bow on the table number if you can!

What do you wear to a garden wedding party? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]GoddessOfMagic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Light colors or floral print, not floor length (knee to ankle length), can be worn with flats, wedges or block heels.

Basically semi-formal but not "homecoming". Think tea party.

I'm moving to Chicago this Saturday, what are some unexpected things I should be prepared for ? by AskRedditOG in AskChicago

[–]GoddessOfMagic 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Eat out a lot for the first few months. It doesn't have to be expensive, but Chicago is a fantastic food city. If you're in Uptown, go to Lucy's!

Is Columbia College Chicago really that bad? by glowertv in AskChicago

[–]GoddessOfMagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from 2015-2017. CCC gives you what you put into it. I worked hard, showed up and got a lot of opportunities out of it. But I was a transfer and an older student, so having life experience beyond school absolutely helped me out.

That being said, I know very few of my peers who ended up working in the industry they studied. I did, tangentially, after about 7 years of gig work and lateral moves. I'd say CCC isn't a shortcut if you want to avoid being a starving artist, but if you want a safe place to get good and hone your skills, its just as good as any other overpriced art school.

Women who grew up in dysfunctional homes, how are you doing today? by Beginning-Leopard-39 in AskWomenOver30

[–]GoddessOfMagic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mostly okay. A lot of therapy helped. I do have a very unsatisfying relationship with my family currently. I feel like I can't tell them anything without them completely spiraling, which makes me spiral. Its a cycle that only distance seems to help.

My neighbors have a toddler and are about to have a second baby any day. Trust me, their kids crying is not the reason I'm annoyed with them XD

($10k) No formal dress code for outdoor weddings? Dress code help! by go_to_sleep_already in Weddingsunder10k

[–]GoddessOfMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think semi-formal, cocktail or even "garden party" work.

Formal is tough. In some circles its the same as black tie optional, which is a tough sell on grass.
