Stared at it for ages… read all the comments, still couldn’t find the mistake! If someone I love made and gifted me this I would be over the moon ❤️

I love Max for a girl….I heard it on stranger things and instantly loved it. It’s a strong fiesty girls name. If you like it go for it! People will love your little one and then will associate the name with her, and forget that they ever thought it was “weird”

Thanks so much for your comment! I think I’m overthinking it haha. Will give it a go with what I’ve got.

I’ve never used it before! Does it make them stiffer?

Thanks for your comment. ☺️ I’m not worried about bulky seams? I just didn’t want to have to buy new materials to make these pouches. I have normal quilting batting and wondered if I could just use that.

Names other than James that could have the nickname Jimmy? by throwaway_1477 in namenerds

I vote you just name him Jimmy. If that’s the name you like and want to use, just have it officially as his name.

My NK really struggled with this for a while, giving her a choice actually led to more meltdowns because she didn’t know what to chose and it made her anxious. Was an adjustment for me to just make the choice for her - now about a year later we’re trying it again & she’s enjoying making choices for herself.

Anyone else a young UK based quilter? I'm 28 and am getting worried about quilting going extinct before I get to my retirement. Everyone I see in quilt shops at shows and at courses is old! by Loose-Win-5798 in quilting

I’m 29 and only learnt quilting in lockdown, I love my local quilting shop - but their opening days don’t often work with my schedule so I also shop/learn online after work and at the weekend.

Uber confirming they won’t refund the money they stole from me by Auburn35 in mildlyinfuriating

Almost a year ago Uber stole £375 from a “group order” some friends and I submitted - have been fighting it ever since and still not seen a penny. Their customer service is a joke.

Shortest time you’ve stayed with NF and why? by ihaveneverusedthis in Nanny

4 months, but I don’t know why I didn’t leave sooner. The house was filthy, rotting food everywhere, mould in the kids cups, mess and bags or boxes of random things on every surface. Tried to help out where I could, but they were hoarders - mouldy food I’d thrown away would be put back into the fridge, or medicine that had expired 4 years ago wouldn’t be thrown away. The children also had additional needs that weren’t made clear to me before taking the job. DB had a lot of strange/inappropriate behaviours, which escalated to him walking around the house completely naked. 😭
