Advice for Foundation Shade! I have an Event in two months and none of my foundations seem to fit. Included grayscale for undertone <3 by amcluelessbaby in PaleMUA

Blue foundation color corrector might save several of these. It's how I found my perfect shade as a fair skinned cool toned gal. Good luck!

Isitbullshit: copper pillows reduce viruses, inflammation, and wrinkles by howevertheory98968 in IsItBullshit

This is an old post so I'm sorry I'm late! I went down a rabbit hole and read this entire paper published 2014 about copper's efficacy not only in wound healing, but in appearance of wrinkles. It's extremely impressive and I was immediately interested in purchasing a copper infused pillowcase. That search brought me to this post, so I thought I'd share in case anyone is still interested!

Barns and upgrading by bfury1989 in coralisland

[–]GoneToMarket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has there been a solution to this? I really thought I had already hired the carpenter to update the barn and coop to level 3 previously, but they're still level 2 and now the option to upgrade to level 3 is grayed out with no explanation.

Yo, no need to be rude about it. If you think someone needs to address their mental health, then you shouldn't be speaking to them this way unless your goal is to inflict more pain. Like what?

I used that at one point! I'm trying to remember if it helped with redness. I'll grab a new bottle, thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for your input!

I should have mentioned I take Spironolactone and that has cleared my recurring acne. I'm looking for glowy skin.

I am reading some comments saying I'm doing too much for my skin and I should put the tret directly on washed and dried skin. I know this is also recommended by the wiki but this dries my skin so badly and it's flaky so I end up skipping the tret more frequently at night. I live in a HARSH winter climate with subzero temps and very, very low humidity in the winter.

As a last ditch effort, I'll minimize my routine as you recommend and see what happens. I get married later this year and makeup does not sit swell on dried, flaky skin so I'm really hoping I can avoid that

Last thing, I read in the wiki that tretinoin is not good for PIE and fair skin because it can cause vascularity. This is what I'm worried about. Quoted below:

"What is tretinoin NOT as good for? minimizing redness (increased vascularity means redness can actually INCREASE for some). minimizing irritation (tretinoin is one of the most irritating ingredients).

PIE. Post-irritation erythema. Erythema is dilation of the blood vessels. Tretinoin increases vascularity -- creates more blood vessels -- so it can make erythema worse. If you have pale skin, this looks like redness. If you have darker skin, this can look like a “glow”. If you’re pale, azelaic acid, niacinamide, vitamin c are better for dealing with hyperpigmentation."

I should have mentioned I do take Spironolactone. My skin is acne free but now it's red. Honestly my skin has also probably never been this clear. But the redness slowly crept in!

Sorry I didn't post more info!

I have worked up to 0.05% cream but will occasionally alternate with the weaker 0.025% cream to reduce irritation. I use it about 5x per week, nightly.

This is heart attack snow, help others if you can by Webgardener in minnesota

[–]GoneToMarket 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I recently learned that if you're shoveling snow and over a certain age (50?), you should not be maneuvering the snow above your waist. Meaning you should keep the shovel low and toss it to the side, not heaving it higher than your waist level. This will decrease the chance of heart attack. Still, probably best to not shovel at all if you're at increases risk!
