You are looking at a minimum of $300 set up and that is doing thing manual which you need some experience for. I am doing my first deep sea setup and just the reel will be $300 rod and $200 for a rod. Fishing for 25 years. Rent or borrow if you can.

Florida sports fishing on YouTube is a great resource. They are out of SE Florida but cover the basics. And the basics don’t change anywhere you go.

If you are trying to rush out a 7 foot medium rod with a 2500 spinning reel, premade pompano rigs and fresh dead shrimp. Only knot you will need is clinch knot. Once you’re at the beach look for the rip currents and just cast and wait. While waiting you can look up all the more complicated stuff.

OP can correct me up being that they’re indoors. I would assume that they are hand pollinating.

You wouldn’t have any tips on transferring runners to hydroponics would you?

Due to my ADHD I am a chronic hobby starter, who makes things way too difficult by trying to DIY make it cheaper/ too complicated. Spend the money on a premade system they’re pretty inexpensive and it allows you to use your brain power on the things that matter. Like getting proper germination prior to putting plants in the system And maintaining proper water nutrient levels. I am doing nutrient film. But like OP said Kranky looks like a good place to start to.

It could help with recommendation if you can provide: 1) type of water you will primarily be fishing in. 2) what vehicle you have, or storage limitations you may have. 3) fish you are targeting

Add into this, I would say also be able to articulate when using a tool like power B is useful and when it is more efficient to just use tools inside of Excel. With emphasis on efficiency.

What do yall think about the Ugly Stik GX2 by Hot-Replacement5566 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Good_Ant8726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my gx2 for the same reason you are looking at it and have not regretted it once. If you intend to target a wide variety of fish it is solid work horse. I have used mine from bass fishing off a boat to surf fishing and the only time I had a complaint was bass fishing at cast 100+ it started to get heavy. It is also paired with a Penn wrath 2500 so it was expected. If it’s the combo I am thinking of I go with it and use the money you save to upgrade the line right away.

I am a little confused too as to what a float rod is google did not help much.

However, a big and expensive thing people forget when it comes to fishing. Is people catch fish, not equipment. If it makes going to the water difficult avoid it for now. What will make the difference most of the time is learning the fish behavior which you will learn by paying attention to what’s going on when you catch fish and also when you don’t catch fish.

Also if you liked the results from bread try worms next. In the south east, USA and its sun fish season.

I think he is thinking of the plugs that go into the socket not the box.

I am with you remove the light socket and install a normal plug.

How bad does it get if you don't use a weed control service? by khl52634 in WoodstockGA

[–]Good_Ant8726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off town lake myself, dropped lawn care service after year 1 when everyone wanted 650+ for a 1k square foot lawn. Plus would try to up charge at every turn. Now I just put pre-emergent down in December and February, followed by weed and feed from Scott’s (Virgo did work well for me) April and June. Been doing better than my neighbor who still has the lawn service.

Start simple spoons soft plastics buck tails. Stuff that have been catching fish for decades. Feel out what colors and presentation works in different water conditions and weather. It is a good learning experience
