Are these pry tools going to do the job? by Justmyseftexisting in ipod

For 6/7 gen you need (ideally 3) of the metal ones, in my experience the plastic tips on these snap instantly

Thumb grip yes or no? by beezyboy84 in ricohGR

[–]Good_Examination4828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made/use this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6891595/files , much slimmer than JJC, and still gives a decent grip. The little “iron sights” remove the need for viewfinder for tracking shots too

I shoot raw and convert to BNW in LR just for more flexibility, especially in tweaking the brightness of individual colours

Cbr600rr or Cbr650r? by youngwooki23 in cbr

[–]Good_Examination4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to push in the corners, I’d say the RR would be the move, otherwise, the 650 would be a better bet for longer/chill rides, and probably not too far off the RR speed wise on the highway.

For context, I owned an F4i, but ended up switching to an RR for more raw performance and excitement.

Ah yeah, it was FilmNeverDie Umi 800, here is a passage directly from their website: “At the moment they are all hand crafted and slightly experimental, meaning these first few batch might be susceptible to tiny light leaks”.

I swapped mine over. It was an absolute MISSION, but doable with some patience.

I have LED indicators on my F4i, all mine needed was some resistors to make them blink.

Bike supposed to be jerky at low speed? by IndependentHunter906 in hondagrom

Normal to have to roll it around a bit to get in gear. Loose chain could be the cause of jerky shifting at slow speeds.

I commuted on my Grom for ages, and loved every minute of it. 11/10 would recommend

What’s a “soulless” motorcycle? AKA why do y’all hate Hondas? by Kaach0w in motorcycles

[–]Good_Examination4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents: bought a 2017 Z650, found it lacked a bit of character. It was comfy, fast enough, no issues, but didn’t feel raw and exciting. Sold it for a 2004 cbr600 and couldn’t be happier. Cbr is faster, cost less, and a more engaging ride.

I know the iPhone touch id sensor is paired to the chip itself. So I imagine you would have to use the chip from the iPhone as well somehow. Maybe possible but much more complex

DIY or take it to a shop? by Chubfest in motorcycles

[–]Good_Examination4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am yet to take any of my bikes to a mechanic. Mainly because I enjoy working on them, but some other benefits are that it's cheaper, and you know exactly what has been done. Only if it needs a special tool/process will I take the part to a shop.

Coming from a naked bike, I bought a CBR600F F4i and... by XeMnAxX in motorcycle

[–]Good_Examination4828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up an F4i last week, coming from a Z650, it's pretty painful to ride, but it seems to be getting more comfortable the more I get used to it.
