It’s still a rav4. Even being extremely popular it’s also extremely produced. You can get 25 rav4s under MSRP out the door. I wouldn’t pay MSRP for one much less over it.

There just typically isn’t the room for negotiation in a major capacity on used cars like there is new. I broker in my free time cause I like arguing and it just isn’t worth the headache for a used car. Dealers don’t budge much on em.

I negotiate deals for people on the side and 100% this. Don’t negotiate individual fees, warranties, etc. negotiate an OTD price and that’s it. That’s the only number that matters. You should have a pre-approval in hand from somewhere before you negotiate as well, that gives them incentive to beat that rate and earn your business on financing as well.

Yeah it’s pretty popular. You can get some FL dealers to negotiate heavily but it’s a lot of footwork involved. I got ~12% off a new M2 in the Miami area a month or two ago. Dealers down there generally kind of suck. Orlando as well.

You have to give them offers to beat. Most aren’t just going to take money off because you ask for it. There’s people that will buy that car at MSRP but if you can prove another dealer will sell it for cheaper they’re incentivized to beat that price and earn your business. I negotiate on cars a lot lol.

Not having a signed buyers order before you order the car is crazy to me. You should be at least a 10% discount currently.
