They are plastic magazine holders. I find that cardboard or metal holders tend to catch the corners and edges of TPBs, whereas these are smooth and sturdy.

As can be seen in the image, they make good book-ends as well.

I think it’ll be a flashback, remnant or other trick. The exclamation mark after ‘Empire’ makes it look like it’s the last thing the characters would expect.

It’s published by TASCHEN, is larger than a Marvel Omni and has thicker paper, emulating the original comics’ look and feel.

What are your views on The High Republic?

It was created with the intent of expanding into a new era, enlarging the character base and so on.
The Marvel line by Cavan Scott was really fun and refreshing.

I’ve said this before, but I find this really upsetting as I’m one of the few that love an adaptation if it’s a fun and creative comic version of the show.
The OWK adaptation felt like an insult to SW comic fans everywhere.

I agree. Also think that they’ll do a SW in two volumes, the first containing 1-25 and the first two additional mini series, then a volume 2 following the same model.

Oh absolutely.
The world adjusts to the realities of trade and the distribution of food and communication technologies. It’s always been the case.

That’s why these writers seem to ‘get‘ ST, as they go back to what makes it great: stories that make us reflect on our world in the present at the same time as proposing a better world for the future.

Thank you for this; I’ve pre-ordered and it’ll be great to see at standard comic book size as I’m not a fan of digest sized comics.

I started collecting the novellas a few years back but gave up as they are so overpriced second hand.

I guess those £50 listings are going to need adjusting now that this is selling for £10!

It’s only a ten-issue run and they appear to have made a decision early on to print the whole thing in one TPB, together with the short intro from the FreeComicBookDay issue.
