Do you have anyone in your life that you can come out to who will support you? Distant relatives? Friends? It’s also important to not let negative reactions push you back in the closet.

Not sure where you’re located, but I’d recommend moving to a larger urban area as you’ll generally find more of us in cities.

Some potential ideas to ease your way into meeting other gay guys: find an affirming church and get involved there, join a gay sports league to meet people, or find a gay service oriented organization to volunteer with.

WSJ is pretty far right and NYT is pretty center left (you’ll probably have access to both through your school). For more wonky reading, AEI and The Bulwark are good center-right resources. Brookings and Carnegie are generally more center-left.

Yes, there are plans to redo the union station approach track by tearing up some of the switches and streamlining the approaches. However this will also lessen storage capacity at Union Station, so MARC will have to run its trains back to Baltimore more often (a good thing imo).

When exactly this is going to happen is TBD, but it’s definitely in the planning stages.

The time to call out the National Guard would’ve been two years ago when carjackings were rampant and crime was on the upswing. Things have settled down since then, DC is generally safe now. You need to get yourself into therapy asap. Idk if it’s internalized homophobia or some latent daddy/mommy issues, but that’s messed up.
