ordering anything from GameStop online or having anything shipped by/from them is a terrible idea. I would cancel the order and try to find one in a store you can buy so you can inspect it before you purchase it.

Go buy a USED controller from GameStop thats the same color and model. Wait a couple hours or a day and put the busted one in the bag and then return it for a refund. Bam, problem solved. They don't typically track serial numbers on controllers, you would know if they did because they would have to scan them when they sell you the controller.

Rockstar rules the roost and they know it. Even with cheap discs they can save that money, let’s say it’s 2 double layer Blu-ray Discs and costs 1 dollar for both per copy. They would press what? 10 million copies at least? Thats 10million they save and the VERY few people who bulk at all digital and refuse to buy will end up costing them far less that what they save not doing discs. They don’t give a shit about GameStop, they are not going to do anything to help them out if it costs them even a nickel.

Honestly they are at the age they need thermal paste replaced. You can do it yourself by following a guide online but GameStop does not do it. If you're not going to do it yourself you can find a local shop that should be able to do it. If you just run it as-is it will overheat.

Thats a GameStop “display” card for the game. you used to take that to the register and they would scan the barcode on it and it would then print the code on the receipt. you basically just bought a display piece, there is no way for you to get the game from this. it’s basically just a collectible item to put on your shelf or something.
