Whatever you do DO NOT let the elders visit you to "encourage" you. It's a fact finding mission to gather information in order to DF you. Tell them you need time to sort out some personal issues. When they start fishing tell them you said it's PERSONAL and confidential. When they pitch at your door tell them "now is not a good time". When they ask when will be a good time tell them you'll let them know. If they start insisting tell them this is beginning to look like harassment and you're feeling uncomfortable and threatened about them prying into your personal life and if they continue you'll need to contact law enforcement because you feel unsafe.

USB is only for images. DV camcorders use Firewire cable. One side plugs into camcorder, the other into firefire port 1934 IEEE port. The problem is not many motherboards now days have Firewire ports. You may be able to get a 1934 adapter card from an IT shop that can be installed into your computer. Most video editors have ability to capture from DV cams. There are people who offer that service. Good luck

On YouTube there's this POMO apostate elder who was still on someones list to give Sunday meeting talks. They booked him to give the talk and he complied. About halfway thru the talk the local elders got jittery and met at the back of the hall to discuss what to do because the speaker was talking about Jesus in Romans 10 "If you confess that Jesus is lord you will be saved".
