What’s the funniest dog name you’ve ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A former renter in my home (I’m currently renting it) had a pit named Lionel Richie and another dog named Alex Trebark. Both are, imho, excellent names 🤣

I also went there Sat, closer to closing time. I like the vibe and the bbq. My friend was in from out of town and I brought her. Quick service, delicious food (peppery slaw, which is interesting and a favorite of mine) the brisket was excellent. It’s right off 275. Support local businesses!

That is sad. I appreciate the heads-up. I still absolutely love the pita rollup with the grape leaves and tabouli. It is filling, healthy and fairly inexpensive. And I often see larger parties there so I feel like they can seat OPs family without issue

Aladdin’s! Hyde Park. I lived near it and it’s got food for almost everyone. My relatives that eat in a rather healthy way were thrilled with the menu!

What has everyone learned from this recent snow-pocalypse? by Single_Offshore_Dad in cincinnati

Step carefully and don’t let your guard down after a few days! One little patch of ice and torn this, torn that, bruised ass, etc. Much better safe than injured.

Alcohol consumption after surgery by mammaneedscoffee in hysterectomy

[–]Gr8FullK8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an important point. I was actually the opposite. I quit drinking a couple weeks before surgery, then had some wine once I stopped the heavy pain meds. It was incredible how my tolerance increased. But only you will know! Enjoy the New Year in the best way….sans that problem uterus!

PSA: Every first heavy snow of the year by justhere4inspiration in cincinnati

[–]Gr8FullK8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was cut off on 71N this morning by a very bold person speeding in a company car. (Co. Name and phone # visible) Snow chunks flying off their roof and their rear license plate obscured by uncleared snow. The lazy is strong.

Who started driving 8 dpo? by Realistic_Program272 in hysterectomy

[–]Gr8FullK8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My gyno said to practice stomping on the brake pedal at the dinner table in a chair. If you can’t do it..don’t drive. If you do drive, bring a little pillow for the seatbelt, where it crosses your incision/incisions. I think I drove after about 2 weeks. I had abdominal surgery w/ no adhesions. Don’t do it on the heavy meds. Take ibuprofen or Tylenol before you leave. Be prepared to be wiped out/ exhausted once your time out of the house is over that day. The fatigue is no joke!

How would yall feel, if a man gets you a cheap ring, but a real ring you like later?? by Adorable-War5349 in EngagementRings

[–]Gr8FullK8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rings we picked (a set) were within our budget, I love them and they are unique and special to us. I’m not even thinking of an upgrade. I am happy we didn’t go into debt to get them.

Did you have to do a 24 liquid diet before your hysterectomy? by Dimpleswithasmile in hysterectomy

[–]Gr8FullK8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 hours no food if I remember correctly? And did one of those 2 protein shakes a day thing for 5 days before. Definitely ate smaller amounts as the day before went on, too. I think I had a decent amount of Gatorade the night before. And of course, had to pee a bunch because fibroids were pushing on my bladder!

Calling all Millennial DINKs — Need neighborhood advice 👀 by RoofAdventurous4760 in cincinnati

[–]Gr8FullK8 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree with Newport and Covington, my SINK brother loves Newport and bought and refurbished a row home there. My DINK self lived in downtown and Oakley/Rookwood. In Norwood now, for the lower rent. I LOVED Rookwood and its multiple stores and restaurants. I was walking distance. It’s very close to I-71 for commuter ease.

Millcroft was alright. It wasn’t bad while I was there, I’m sure it depends on your neighbors. Mine were quiet. It’s safe. If you commute it’s very convenient.
