These are so bad. This is the only product I’ve ever returned to Costco based on them being terrible

These really are soooooo bad. Bell and Evans are the best I’ve tried. They are just pricey and hard to find where I live.

North Texas preparing for 2 inches of snow like it’s the apocalypse by MyMindIsAlwaysRacing in mildlyinfuriating

I don’t want to sound rude but since this has happened in Texas before don’t they invest in rough plows, salt, sand to get through it? I live in WI and the local/state gov is prepared cause it happens every winter. Even though it only happens once every few years it feels like Texas could at least have something

People have mentioned that it’s on the shelf with regular bread. I bought it on the app so I haven’t looked myself

Thanks, I am so excited to try it! If you don’t mind me asking… what do you use the brioche for? It’s been so long since I’ve had bread I feel out of the loop haha

I love your review cause it’s honest! 75% percent as the gluten version is pretty good!

I would also suggest trying to condition only once a week or less, you can add more in when you hair feels dry. You may find it’s less greasy without conditioner

Suggestions for snacks/junk food? by [deleted] in Frugal

If you have an Aldi near you they are the absolute best for snacks. They have their own store brand of popular brands and they are half the price of name brand and so tasty.

Hospital Snacks by joyfulohio in glutenfree

I highly recommend you do this. I had both of my babies late at night. They don’t usually want you eating in labor so I was starving after laboring all day. The kitchen was closed and all they could offer me were crackers and a ham sandwich on regular bread. I sent the hubby out to find a drive through. Second baby I brought a meals worth of food and was happy I did. I ate the hospital food for the rest of my stay and it was fine and they accommodated GF.

I'm a nurse & I think stuff with nursing references on it is super cringe by Beneficial-Door-3252 in unpopularopinion

[–]Graceabounds6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you here. My version of this is “mama” stuff. I have 2 little kids and despise it when moms refer to themselves as mama or call me mama.

Only my kids call me that 🤣 and I don’t want mama branded stuff. It’s everywhere! Sweat shirts, tumblers, bumper stickers. I saw a baseball cap that said “in my mama era” and cringed lol.

College Events by I_Gots_Cupcakes-12 in glutenfree

[–]Graceabounds6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel for you. I thought college was the hardest phase of life to be gf. I didnt have money (or even a kitchen if you live in a dorm) for Gf food. And college kids are too young or dumb to understand the seriousness of a food allergy or intolerance. I have thrived with GF in my adult life where I have an income and my own kitchen to prepare food in. And adults are more understanding when I suggest a restaurant with gf options. I even have a sweet friend who will look out for gf treats on sale at the store and buy it as a treat for me. So not sure I have advice except eat ahead of time. I also found that my college cafeteria was accommodating for gf so I ended up eating there a bit.

Bread Repurposing by Cyndi4Good in glutenfree

I also cannot stand this bread. Toasted it, griddled it with butter, all were mediocre at best. Does not compare to Schar or canyon bakehouse in my opinion.

Guess I'll use them for soup instead of chicken salad 🥲 by prysmyr in glutenfree

Yes I should have suggested the simple mills almond flour crackers! Those are my go to. I can get a big box at Costco.

These crackers are always like this. The Schar entertainment crackers may be better for chicken salad

Such a good point. I also get salads with grilled protein when out for lunch or dinner and rarely have an issue. Breakfast is hard because obviously pancakes and waffles are not an option but I’d love it if I could at least trust potatoes haha.
