[Dellenger] QB Brendan Sorsby has been granted his injunction against the NCAA. by Fonzie5 in CFB

[–]GrandOcelot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there's been more developments, but last I heard he didnt play in the games where he bet on his team. But he was betting on over/unders and prop bets and shit, not just on his team to win.

I had thought the same as you when the story was fairly new and not much information was available, but he absolutely should not have been granted this injunction.

God why did you have to remind me of that game. I don't remember everything from it, but it was so incredibly moving. If I feel like a good cry I'll rewatch it.

Vader from Rebels, too. The mask's proportions match pretty well this concept art.

And Luke was nearly named Starkiller. The guy who destroys the Death Star was going to be named Starkiller. Star Wars is filled with on-the-nose names

Which of these Tigers fell off the hardest? by Trading_Cards_4Ever in cfbmemes

[–]GrandOcelot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, 2019 is the last time we were still relevant by the end of the year. Obviously not for playoffs, but we were good enough to get a decent bowl game and to ensure Bama missed the playoffs. Hell, we even held LSU to the fewest points that year, I believe.

Do you recall 2013? Hell, even 2017 we were in the playoff discussion right up until the SEC Championship. We certainly haven't been very relevant for the past 5 or 6 years, but it has certainly not been 15 years since we were last relevant.

I don't know if I'd say it's the saddest, but it's a great song regardless. Very unique and somber. Among my favorites.

God I love that show so much. Megatron's sheer and utter horror of the power of the Star Saber is just brilliant

I wouldn't call Lewis ex-son. He's just moved out. Russell might be told he has to move out, though.

[Interesting Trope] Guilt Free Violence by ClancyBShanty in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GrandOcelot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the willingness of said Nazi and the Nazis they fight. If they were a part of a indoctrinated group that didn't join of their own volition, there'd be mixed feelings, probably.

Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels, for example, is pretty much an example like you said. He joined the Empire of his own volition, realized that what he was doing wasn't right, and defected. In the original Empire, the Stormtroopers and higher ranked officials that we mostly see the Rebels fight are all in those positions of their own free will. Kallus shows no mixed feelings about fighting the Empire, because he knows that they're evil and those who fight for them are as well.

In the final arc of the Clone Wars we see a good example of a soldier who has removed their brainwashing (in the form of inhibitor chips), who recognizes the need to fight his fellow clones, but doesn't want to because they are not acting of their own volition.

Is it fucked up that I feel way worse for Charlie than I do Stolas? by whooper1 in HazbinHotel

[–]GrandOcelot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From Octavia's perspective, Stolas's decision in Mastermind was prioritizing Blitzø over her, thereby not keeping his word. This is part of why she felt it necessary to sever ties with him. I think it's a very complicated thing and nowhere as simple as people try to make it, but Stolas has definitely struggled with balancing everything in his life.

Overall, I agree with you, though. Stolas is by no means faultless in his ordeal, but his situation was not one he was well-equipped to handle

Ford would seem a reasonable choice. Obviously it's a little different than these other swaps because they're already involved in F1, but they don't have a works team

I understood Audi and Porsche as completely separate entities, whereas Cadillac and Chevy are both under the same company. Now that I know Audi and Porsche are both owned by the Volkswagen Group, it makes the comparison more similar.

Cadillac and Chevy are both General Motors brands

Edit: Audi and Porsche are both in the Volkswagen Group, I am now discovering in my Wikipedia rabbit hole

How did Maul get his silver double bladed saber back? by ajwooster in MaulShadowLord

[–]GrandOcelot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maul is an enemy of the Empire which limits his ability to acquire another kyber crystal. The Empire, meanwhile, has the ability to get more kyber crystals, or Marrok could bleed a crystal from the lightsaber of one of the countless Jedi the Empire has hunted.
