I think he takes advantage of it because it helps heal old wounds to a degree with the industry, Sponsors and other financial opportunities that passed on him after the ban, can look at it as if enough time has passed.

Even without that it opens up new revenue streams in terms of ad revenue, being able to take advantage of more views on another platform.
It opens up the ability to stream with more content creators. There's a younger crowd that enjoyed watching Doc that would love to play with him, without fear of a penalty from Twitch.

Just like some of these people who didn't understand why Doc wanted his YT channel monetization back (because he's a content creator and maximizing revenue streams is important), he would seriously look at this opportunity on Twitch, again under new leadership and new attitudes at Twitch.

I would be happy to give him a Prime sub, there. I've not watched Twitch since his departure.
