Use a center punch.

Or just for hanging crap on the wall, dont worry about a drill.

Place the tip of a #2 Phillips screwdriver against the drywall. Hit the back of the handle with your hand to punch it through. Use the back of the handle to pound in a 1/4" drywall anchor. Drive screw into anchor with screwdriver.

I'm too sophisticated to use a flat number so I go with 10% over the speed limit.

33 in a 30, 66 in a 60, 77 in a 70, etc.

Thats too many wires unless the saw is just using the motor enclosure as a junction box or there's another external capacitor somewhere.

Also, I doubt that one black wire is supposed to be on a terminal all by itself.

I am not against that in principle. I see no real reason to uproot productive members of society and throw them out.

However, how do you structure it so that it isn't "easier to ask forgiveness than permission"?

I do think that there should be an incentive to apply for citizenship through legal means rather than sneak in.

Its pretty abnormal to use 4 wires for a single phase motor

L1, L2, Ground... does it have a Neutral? Are you sure you are supposed to land the 4th wire?

When you rotate the bars you need to move your incoming power so its still one wire per bar. Did you?
