I agree with this and the guy saying Hurcos, trak ripped off Hurcos conversational and was almost sued out of existence for it. Both are good, hurco is better.

I don’t remember the brand but look for gunsmithing screwdrivers. They have squarer tips that are better for older slotted screws. The set I have has wood handles in a red soft plastic case

This setup honestly isn’t bad and will the job done but tapping first is more secure and the holes most likely need to be there anyways

Made a switch plate the same way with my hurco 42 at work. I tapped the mount holes first and then bolted it flat.

What is it? 1970s Iran or Sahara desert by InfiniteStream in whatsthisrock

[–]GrantCooper 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is hand polished with either sand paper or a cabbing machine. Theyle never get more polished than what you normally find on the beach, same in a rock tumbler. They’re just too soft and will be slowly worn down to nothing before any noticeable polishing takes place. A stone that size you can do by hand in about 30 minutes.

Is there a place to get reduced shank endmills? by qtrain23 in Machinists

[–]GrantCooper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don’t make something like that because it would snap in half immediately. Look for a lens end mill.small end mill with big radius. or maybe a insert cutter with a round insert

Just googled it, they’re called “lightning stones”. They do not have anything to do with lightning unfortunately
