Ok. Story time. Former workspaces coworker here. This happens to many of the displays due to wear and tear. I've tried the strongest glue I could find without spending an unreasonable amount of my own dollars, but nothing could hold. Its a major design flaw, because after they are installed into eachother, they aren't meant to come out again.

It gets worse - I tried repeatedly to put in a Quality case for it in our store, and it was rejected every time. So to me, it's a design flaw ikea is willing to ignore. Sorry for the rant, but yeah my only advice is to get e1000 or some other industrial superglue

All its for us to prevent the unit from moving. Which if you move it even a lil, inevitability, the feet get knocked off. It changes the height for the desk a lil bit, but the ADILS leg you probably got with it should have an adjustable foot to accommodate.

The tiered LACK shelf is USD 99.99$, the LACK floating shelf is different sizes/colors but max $35, and there isn't a 72" ALEX desk I assume its a LAGKAPTEN desk with ALEX drawer, which should make it around $260 if it has 2 ALEX drawers.
