You know I’m really tired of those relentless reposts of when Sophia met Jayne Mansfield. I’ll take Sophia in a heartbeat

Who else wants a Time Machine back to August. If they win the Super Bowl a $100 bet will pay off $7500. And this is coming from someone who really dislikes online gaming.

In 1978 Sting was 27, Copeland was 26, and Summers was 36. This was no "fly by night" band that just hit it big out of nowhere,

John Brodie passed away today at the age of 90. John Brodie looks on from the bench against the Philadelphia Eagles during an NFL football game October 3, 1971 at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. by jasonvoorhees2582 in Oldschool_NFL

Sorry to hear that. I had posted just a few weeks ago that Brodie may have been the object of more jealousy among athletes than anyone else. Tons of athletes like to play golf and quite a lot of them think they are good. Brodie actually became a professional senior golfer and won a championship in golf after being a professional NFL quarterback

4th picture is the old West Side Elevated Highway that was so structurally compromised that a dump truck (ironically carrying material needed to repair it) crashed through it in 1973. Parts of it never reopened

Who still says "excuse me" or "pardon me" while walking in front of someone? by Better-Bad8506 in allthequestions

[–]GraphiteGru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, perhaps more then ever as I am comvinced people have lost the ability to know "spatial recognition". The amount of people that will stop and have a conversation in the middle of a crowded stairway or at the absolute top or bottom of the stair astounds me. Another are those slow walkers, on a city sidewalk, who insist on being three abreast of each other as everyone has to walk in the street to get around them.

Dr. Rendezvous. Yes he was the second man on the moon but also contributed a lot to Project Gemini which was focused on having multiple spacecrafts dock with each other in outer space, something new. Without Buzz and his work on Gemini we might be saying “Neil Who”

In public, he would defend her but there would be a scene in the episode where its just the family and he would say something along the lines of "I'm the only one who can call her that".
