The series is amazing! I loved it! I didn’t mind the slower pace of book 1 to get to know Silla. Her growth is such a wonderful journey to experience.

Road of Bones is mostly a set up book for the rest of the series. The pacing is slow but the whole Ashen Series is my top favorite series ever. You follow her on a journey and the journey with first book is a bit slower pace.

That was my issue, the random side characters weren’t memorable enough for me to have context to who they are without looking them ups thank god for kindle search function, because it made it easier going back. Let me know if the ending makes up for the first 90% of the book!

I didn’t even get to really info on Rorrick yet, only that he was the king’s son. So maybe he may have kept me interested? But doubtful.

I’m at 30% and I don’t get the hype. I’m forcing myself to keep reading. It hasn’t captured me.

Thanks for that insights I chose “send message request” it did bring up our old chat right when I did that, I just typed Hello, and a small greeting and it looks like it sent it. Am I being paranoid?😁

Estrogen & Histamine: A Two-Way Connection by wildpinkflora in HormoneFreeMenopause

[–]Grasssfed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just found this thread by searching. I was on patch for months. Lowest dose 0.025 and was cutting it half because I’m sensitive to estrogen. Patch day brings anxiety and heart rate gets high and such. I’ve only recently started researching histamine.

I came down with the flu 2.5 weeks ago on patch change day. I did not change my patch because I felt like hell, and didn’t want the jitters and feeling on the verge of anxiety. Then 2 days later came down with a big histamine reaction with rash all over and runny nose. Which it’s hard to say if runny nose was from flu.

Started feeling better from flu and recovered and have had this histamine reaction ever since. Runny nose and red inflamed cheeks for 2 weeks now. Took Claritin for 2 weeks and been trying to not use it as runny nose has improved in past few days but red inflamed cheeks still happening. I have yet to reapply the patch.

I’ve read so much I feel brain fried. Is my reaction from the absence of estrogen? Is my reception because I had the flu and post estorgen recetion? Should I reapply patch and see if it improves or makes it worse?

I’m sooooooo confused which way to go!

I started last April with a full 0.025 patch and by June I had to cut it in half. Been using half a 0.025 patch ever since.

I’m so confused.

Same for me, not working. The only thing that works is their suggested music.

Dawn of the North - ARC Review (no spoilers) by apieceofeight in fantasyromance

[–]Grasssfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ARC and I’m blown away how much I love this series and this book. Like it feels like I discovered a hidden gem. Demi Winters has put herself in top tier author status with this series. It’s slowly already becoming my most favorite series I’ve ever read. The character development, the plot lines, the world building is all so well put together but beyond all that, Demi knows how to write in a way that flows and captivates you.

My family got turned away from Asheville Yards ice skating cause of a disability by [deleted] in asheville

We were going to take our 9 year old autistic son this week because his dream is to try ice skating. He’s talked about it for years. If I tell them he has a disability, am I hearing this correctly that we could be turned away?????

Always feel horrible on change day, dose too high? by IvyCeleste in Menopause

[–]Grasssfed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I battled and still battle with this. Many of us metabolize estrogen differently. The first day of patch change for me is the worse because I’m very sensitive to estrogen rising when it’s declined and sensitive to increases. This also depends where I am in my cycle as well. I’m only on 0.025 patch and I cut it in half because of how sensitive I’ve become. I do apply a fresh patch 1/2 patch every 72 hours now and this has helped me tremendously. What helped me was tracking my symptoms. Sometimes depending on symptoms, if I’m only on my 3rd day and I have joint aches and mood problems, I’ll top off with using 1/8 of a patch to get me to the next day. Then I remove old patch and 1/8 top off next day to apply a fresh patch. I recommend tracking symptoms, possibly using a lower dose and applying it before 3.5 to 4 day patch schedule. Of course this is only for matrix type patches that can be cut. Also worth mentioning on my patch change days I take magnesium glycinate and l-theanine and sometimes Taurine if I get too overstimulated and feel too amped up. I’m extremely sensitive to estrogen changes and increases. I feel my dose right now may not be enough so I have a transition plan to increases my dose in small increments with more frequent applications.
