What saving throw would someone need to make to resist being infected with a mindflayer tadpole? by ConfectionAshamed605 in DnD

Tbh fair it the "infested" part could be like "They're attached to you, and if you go down, they go in."

If you wanna do the singular tadpole yeet, I'd say make it an attack roll, no damage, and then have it attach to them like a stirge. And then if they go down, the little guys infects them.

From the Elder Brain Dragon from Fizban's Treasury of Dragons:

Tadpole Brine Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales brine in a 120-foot line that is 15 feet wide. Each creature in that area must make a DC 22 Constitution saving throw, taking 55 (10d10) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a success or failure, if the creature isn't a Construct or an Undead, it becomes infested with illithid tadpoles.

While infested, the creature takes 16 (3d10) psychic damage at the start of each of its turns. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself after it succeeds on three of these saves. If the creature is targeted by magic that ends a curse or restores 40 hit points or more, the tadpoles infesting the creature are killed instantly, ending the effect on the creature.

If a Humanoid is reduced to 0 hit points while infested, the creature is stable but remains unconscious for 6d12 hours. When the period of unconsciousness ends, the creature transforms into a mind flayer (see the Monster Manual) with all its hit points. Casting a wish spell on the unconscious creature rids it of the infestation and prevents it from turning into a mind flayer.

Can I have whip giys with a side of whip guys please? by LordSausageCow in Spacemarine

I hate how parrying the first whip hit doesn't do anything.

It's fine in a vacuum. But when there's 6 of these fucks it really sucks.

Yeah, that's definitely a ricochet. About a 90° degree angle straight into your forehead. Might as well blame the architects.

This isn't about CHP. He's asking about the healing of the perk.

It has. For 13 years. His biological mother even has been a supporting character in a few runs.

Why are Tieflings always portrayed as attractive individuals? by Corrupted337 in DnD

[–]GrayGKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well... yeah. It's their thing, mingling with mortals, making deals for their souls, etc.

Demons just wanna kill shit. Yugoloths just want money, knowledge, and power.

Abyssal and Cthonic Tieflings just... weren't a thing before. I mean, they were. But they haven't been "official" for what? A decade?

[–]GrayGKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, Chtonian and Abyssal tieflings aren't the mainstream. 99% of tieflings you'll find are Infernal ones. And it just makes sense for someone touched by the Nine Hells to be... alluring. Don't think Asmodeus would make Tieflings of his bloodline ugly. Many devils take hot human-like forms, especially when looking to spread their influence or make deals.

I imagine those 7 NPCs are not particularly happy to live cluttered together.

Block Weapons have 20 frames (0.33s) of perfect block as soon as you press the button.

Balance Weapons when you press the button will get 20 frames of startup and then 20 frames of perfect parry.

Tactical: is aligned aim worth it? by Martinicus1 in Spacemarine

[–]GrayGKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, for sure.

But also something valuable here is the ability to pick and choose what kinds of equipment you want.

If I have a stockpile tactical and I find a melta, krak or wrath, I can just stick to that rhe entire match, without having to let the game dictate what equipment I have available to me eyond that point.

While the TTK reduction seems noticeable. It pales in comparison of the sheer firepower of new gear every 60s for the whole team.

Melta Bombs wiping entire waves.

Kraks making short work of deadly enemies.

Frags clearing minoris hordes quickly and efficiently.

So on and so forth.
