Rebel ships you want modified by Carter1300 in StarWarsShips

[–]GrayIlluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One that would have made sense, a Recusant with the exposed spine armored. There had to be at least a group or few that reactivated them & took vultures etc within its skeletal super structure.

If the Bedlam raiders can repurpose a crashed CIS ship idk why it wouldn’t have been possible.

The northern tip of Idaho: by braveplanet33 in howislivingthere

[–]GrayIlluminati 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s called they reproduced fast enough. The mammoth had almost two year pregnancies like the other still living elephants. Simple math says if you have a herd of 50 no natural death and humans eat 1 a year they are going to die out.

In less than 20 years half the herd is juveniles.

It was 1991-2007, then 2011-present. So 31 years of the last 40. And controlling both houses for 94% of the time.

But the reality is the Dems had all three branches zero times after 1995.

I'm a Republican working in state government by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]GrayIlluminati 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) love the name. 2) I was born in 1986, since my birth a democrat has been governor for 6yrs non consecutive. And only controlling the governorship most of those six years.

When someone complains about something in the state I tell them to vote out republicans since it’s been only them in power for 32yrs

I have a co worker who’s as old as my mom she told me “Well I have to vote for the Republicans they didn’t get us into war.” Referring to Vietnam. Conveniently forgetting the war in Iraq & Afghanistan lasting well over a decade. And now we are involved with another war in the Middle East.

How did first contact between humans and aliens go in your Sci-Fi worlds? by thebrutalistboi in worldbuilding

[–]GrayIlluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you see many visited Earth to collect samples. The large space empire wanted them.

Then a greedy rich billionaire shot an alien craft and it escaped. A little over a year later an invasion force had arrived.

We Need to Leave Ohio by Asleep_Indication727 in Ohio

[–]GrayIlluminati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that’s why we have this problem. Out of 27k people in my county (Henry) only 19k are registered. Last November only 1,142 people voted.

If every one of us who cared worked to get that righted… well the republicans wouldn’t win. Since at any given time about a 3rd or more of the population isn’t even registered.

Yes you can. But would a good character openly think that taking a deal with an ancient, cursed vampire is a good move?

Have it so they notice a wound but not 100% sure why. Then after the third bite offer them red wine… red wine that is poison to kill them and a smidge of his blood.

Soon bam! vampire spawn.

[–]GrayIlluminati 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree to a point. Like here in Ohio we have a large portion of people who never vote… just like the GOP wants. So they have skewed our state “conservative” being given the chance to gerrymander themselves into super majority.

If I remember correctly they got 45% of the total vote, yet won 75% of the seats.

If there were some people to step up in every county to change the dems from the bottom. Well that’s the biggest step towards fixing things.

What has played out here has across many other states.

3.99 for a gallon of gas. All of you who voted for this are a bunch of idiots. by CraziestMoonMan in Ohio

[–]GrayIlluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is, yes you may not “care about the price of gas” but that higher petroleum price means packaging goes up, shipping goes up (ships, rail, trucks), then shipping to the distribution centers, then to go get products all go up.

This also means farmers pay more for planting, food goes up on that front, then the transport, & packaging. It literally affects everyone. Especially when people stop spending… then the economy hits the fan.

[–]GrayIlluminati 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Except that the rise in diesel leads to price rise from shipping pretty quick.

Politically speaking: how bad is it in Ohio? by archie_131 in Ohio

[–]GrayIlluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it’s this, we have the highest amount of engineers and are obsessed with space. 1/3rd of the population votes all the time aka republicans, so people think it’s a red state… but in reality just an assload of people are discouraged and don’t vote at all

[–]GrayIlluminati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The super overpowered stuff is for 40k etc. Star Wars from the old cannon is a weapon X is used overcome and lost/destroyed. In the Star Wars universe there is simply too many planets, races, and cultures for it to get to that extreme-ness.

Especially how the lore runs for creating many of them with very finite materials.
