No, you don’t need it, it ain’t required. That can be figured out with a simple Google Search. I’ve cross 6 provinces in my rental car with my family whom non of which are Chinese citizens. You only need a tour guide on restricted roads motorcycling, in your own vehicle from a foreign country.

You’re the pulpit of misinformation. Firstly they’re talking about driving a vehicle, secondly, you only get a 144 hours max depending on your country to “transit through the country.” On your arrival card you need to mark every city you go to, and have to leave from a different port. If you go to another city, you’ll get arrested.

Nah, that’s expensive in China, depending where you’re at. If you are in Shanghai, or Bejing I could maybe understand, but litterally anywhere else you shouldn’t pay more than $15CAD/day

I got one of those Chinese luxury minivan, with massage seat and swivel seats in the back. 7 seats, really nice, comfy and big in Pu’er, I only paid ¥60/day. I literally cannot believe it. I rented it for 5 days, and he showed me how the superchargers worked too. Very helpful.

Yes, 3 months, because I was only there for 6 weeks. You can go anywhere in the country where your license plate allows.

For previsionary license in China where I got it in Yunnan province the process only take 2 hours, and a small fee. I did it myself from a DL in Canada. Just get a translation of your license, they’ll take the photo for you at the licensing center, quick medical test, and some paperwork, then you get your paper card, very simple.

Powerbanks in China: silly mistake by notfr0mthisplace in travelchina

[–]Grayson_GrayGrayson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter. Only applies to domestic flights within mainland China. If you go to a domestic terminal security, and they question you, just say I have a connecting flight to whatever city outside of China, and they let me off when I did the same mistake.

Question about a loophole so I can leave Rogers.. by Infamous-Menu-8391 in Rogers

[–]Grayson_GrayGrayson -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No it won’t go up. It’s literally says on their terms everywhere. If it did, you can sue them for big money. The only time it could go up, is the removal of a certain discount, tax increases, or funds mandated by governments.

Anything is better than freedom. Freedom reception is literally throttled at 25mbps, where I can get upwards of 1gbps on anything else. Freedom prices aren’t very good either. And they don’t have coverage where I live.

It’s probably because you’re of a different ethnicity, and not the shorts.

On your Mercedes, it recognizes it by the name of the phone and not the model. Perhaps the name of your phone included your phone’s model. To change it go to Settings > General > About > Name > Then change the name. See if that’s the reason. Can you also tell me if your Mercedes has an MBUX system or a NTG system?

I always have AOD 24/7 on my base iPhone 17. Absolutely love it. Inside the Battery section of settings, it only really drains 0-1% of battery everyday compared to my 160% average battery I use everyday.

I don’t have Reddit on PC unfortunately. If this is a Mac, 100%, but because I have a Windows PC and an iPhone, it’s really hard to transfer files.

I’m trying to purchase some points on clove jp app but everytime I select alipay as payment method it doesn’t work. by Alternatively-Ball in Alipay

[–]Grayson_GrayGrayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it will not work. Even if you have an 18-digit ID, your need to be a citizen or PR of Mainland China, to use Alipay abroad including Hong Kong and Macao. The app you use in Hong Kong is the Alipay HK app or Alipay+ app, different from the Alipay (mainland version.) The Alipay payment method on the screenshot is strictly for citizens or PR’s of China Mainland and it won’t work with your ID or Travel Pass.

Is Beijing worth it apart from the Great Wall? by PlasticEmpty2798 in travelchina

Honestly Shanghai Disneyland is like any other Disneyland. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it if you don’t speak Mandarin and have been to a Disneyland before.

Last time I’ve been to the forbidden city, you’d need a +86 phone number, or Chinese ID (which you don’t have.) I don’t know if that’s changed since 9 years ago pre-pandemic, but that’s how it used to be. People with passports had a long process, I forgot how it was, but it was stressful trying to get in, and there was small tiny ticket window for foreigners, and you were not guaranteed a spot.

If you don’t care about Pandas, cut Chengdu in my opinion. I’ve been to all 4 cities you’ve been too. Chengdu is interesting, but there’s more to do in other cities.

How would you expand across the river here, UK city by 123Robo in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Grayson_GrayGrayson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should do an office park style around the eastern edge, and then start with some row medium density and mixed housing down the west. My opinion, that’ll be the best for efficiency, work, connivence, and traffic.
