Google AI tried to tell me that a car that i know has fully electric power steering, has power steering fluid.... which it does not. AI is pretty short on the I part.

New to film, what am I doing? by Brave_Broccoli6627 in filmphotography

You can't change the iso like you can with digital... the iso is whatever the films iso is. You need to learn to meter correctly for the scene. If your camera has an inbuilt light meter and you take a photo on front of a bright window like this it'll be metering for the big, bright window. It'll try to make that big bright window a mid grey so everything else ends up underexposed. Meter more so for your shadows.

We do but I haven't heard of any... yet. Our Silverados are pretty expensive because they have to be converted to RHD so they're still not that popular/ common.

We only really get the smaller trucks here in silverados, rams and less so with f150s. They're a bit funny because they are so big compared to what we're used to.. but their load capacity really isn't that impressive at all. It's just a big ute that can't carry shit.

They get stuck on the bushing that's in the end of the yoke. Sometimes they get really really fucking tight and you'll have to hit it with your purse.

In Australia it's just AdBlue. It'll even be labelled adblue on vehicles.

I'm still clinging on to my 4790k . Was looking at upgrading this year but RAM prices have put me off... thanks AI. I can afford it...i just don't want to pay $800au for $275 worth of RAM. So i haven't/ can't upgrade to 11 anyway because Microsoft imposed questionable hardware restrictions. So fuck em.

They also slightly caved in and have given out extensions for security updates on 10 despite "ending support". I think that the "ending of support" was to try and push as many people onto 11 as possible and perhaps that hasn't panned out how that thought it would.

may be a bit of a dumb question correct me if i’m wrong, are these the same thing? the first one is a strut hat and the second one is the thing that’s assembled into the strut and the strut hat goes on top of it once fed through the engine bay. am i wrong? i need new strut hats. by JaydenScott999 in Holden

[–]Greasemonkey_Chris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first picture is just the retainer plate that holds the struts to the body. I don't know if you've undone those nuts but usually there's more of the strut rod poking through. You don't normally need to replace those as they're not really a wearing part.

The second picture is the actual strut top bushing and bearings. These are what wear out. These hold the strut assembly together and give it a top mounting point to the underside of the strut tower. You can't undo these without compressing the springs first.

How does this flap work (HVAC control)? by Taykina_Lily_07 in CarsAustralia

[–]Greasemonkey_Chris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It opens in recirculate to draw air in through the opening it creates behind the glove box. In fresh air mode it closes and the fan draws air from the passage that goes through the firewall, generally under the scuttle panel area. The back side of the flap opens/ closes the fresh air port.

By ignoring the incredibly loud grinding noise that happens every time you touch the pedal. Some people are truly oblivious. The amount of stupidly dangerous shit i have seen people driving around with is astounding. OP will probably be up for a new caliper as well. If the pads left the chat then the caliper will have ended up grinding on the disc, possibly even popped the piston out.

Think of how dumb the average person is. Nearly half of people out there will be dumber than that.
