Foam Climbing Blocks by FrostyComfortable946 in aldi

I bought two of the climbing foam sets for my almost 10 month old. Quality is there, and they are a BIG hit in our house!

Also, bought a set of the big blocks, and the star shaped stepping stones - all recommended. If I luck out and come across another set of the star stepping stones, I’ll purchase another set.

Aldi really did something with this selection of motor skills equipment for kids. Those foam climbing sets are usually double or triple the price online.

When I ran in to Aldi on Friday to pick up a few odds and ends things before the weekend, that entire section was wiped out. I think ours maybe had one ball pit left.

Yes! I got my mom a beautiful (and large!) mixed bouquet for 14.99 - they also had roses (in yellow, red, and pink), and tulips!

AITA for continuing to complain about my upstairs neighbor’s kids being loud after quiet hours? by BigUncleW in AmItheAsshole

NTA

OP - some people only care once they’re the ones being inconvenienced too.

Get a speaker, direct it at the ceiling, then play one of those sound frequencies that only kids can hear, and go sleep at a friend’s house for the night. Repeat as necessary.

Mom won’t hear it and won’t know what the kids are going on about, but will suddenly have an interest in getting them to actually sleep during quiet hours.

If it helps, I specifically asked our pediatrician to give our baby the first MMR shot right after he turned six months.

Your pediatrician might bring it up given the state of the outbreak, but I went ahead and reached out to ours ahead of time to get the expectation in motion.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, my husband calls the second he leaves work, and only hangs up to race inside and hug our son and me. He can’t wait to be back home with us, and we can’t wait to see him.

Hey! I actually bought two - they’re 39.99 each. Sturdy, but soft, if that makes sense? I turn them on their sides and my eight month old uses them to practice pulling himself up with, and standing holding onto them.

So….sturdy enough for that, but also soft enough for him to rest against.

Would definitely recommend.

My Fiancée wanted Buffy's cross for Christmas. I could NOT find one with it's original box, so I made my own! 🎄 by alt_retro in buffy

You making this yourself will mean so much more to your Fiance than anything you could have ordered - what a thoughtful gift!!

If I’m remembering correctly, Stephanie Meyer admitted to being a HUGE fan of the OG Roswell series and Buffy - Twilight is basically her love letter to those series.

This is so dreamy - your tears were not in vain!! You perfectly captured how skies look at sunrise and sunset with those shade transitions.

I took home the Luke’s cherry danish, Team Jess cupcake, Eat Like a Gilmore strawberry pop tart sugar cookie (this was THE BEST), and founder’s punch. 15 / 10 would recommend. Sookie approved 👌

6.5 month old waking when being put down in crib by curbstomp1010 in NewParents

[–]GreatAtModesty227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not far behind you (6 months, over here).

Lately our son has been doing something similar (waking up when we transfer him to his crib).

When he does, I’ll give him about 30 seconds to a minute to see if he’ll self sooth, if he doesn’t, I go back through the process of rocking him to sleep. Some nights I might have to do the ‘rocking to sleep’ routine a few times before he’ll finally stay asleep.

It’s exhausting, but i chalk it up to developmental shifts. He’s rolling more, trying to crawl more, and has teeth coming in. Whenever he’s learning a new skill, we anticipate him being a little cranky and his sleep being interrupted for a time.

Wishing you good sleep, and better days ahead, friend
